Burning Crusade collector's edition unveiled

For those of you for whom a simple box and CD just won't adequately express your love for a game, Blizzard announced today the details of the World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Collector's Edition.The Collectors Edition will feature:
- World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade on both CD and DVD
- World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Behind-the-Scenes DVD
- The Art of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Hardcover Art Book
- Exclusive In-Game Pet: Netherwhelp
- Two World of Warcraft Trading Card Game Starter Packs, plus Exclusive Cards
- Map of Outland Mouse Pad
- World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Soundtrack CD
If you are interested in getting into the WoW trading card game, two TCG starter packs, one for you and one for a friend will be in the Collector's edition to get you properly hooked in the physical world as you are already in the virtual one.
And of course the pièce de resistance for any gamer, the exclusive in-game pet, the netherwhelp, which is apparently the love child of the nether drake flying mount that you will be soon grinding for hours to obtain.
Pricing and availability of the Collector's Edition were not released, but finalizing the details of what will go in the box might just be a sign that the expansion pack is close to finished.
Now if they would only send me my beta invite.

Is it wrong that I am having my Wife buy a copy of the Collector's edition for me while I'm in Afghanistan? Heck I probably won't even be able to play WoW for another 8 months.
But I've feel a burning need to have a Netherwhelp to go along with my Panda/Mini-D.

Is it me or the collector's edition sucks ? Cards for the TCG game most of us dont care about, a "making of" DVD, music, pretty art book and a mouse pad ? I mean come on!

Hmm, I am also wondering about the price, cause if it cost over 50 dollars, which is all I could afford, than maybe I should buy the standard edition instead.
But I would like to buy the CE, cause of the netherwhelp.

What the fuck are you talking about, Elodren? That is AWESOME! I would love to be able to see how they made the expansion, the art of everything in the expansion (attention to detail FTW), and the music is pretty nice (it is NEW music in the expansion that, in fact, I've heard some of it and like it). Now, the mouse pad and TCG I don't care for, but wouldn't mind having :)
@Aaron :( How good is your computer there? Maybe someone can send you a copy? Or, though a serious and scary situation, you are in a war in RL :/

Well, that is why it's called the "Collector's Edition" since it includes things you can "collect."

having it on DVD makes a lot od difference, plus I would love to have a WoW mouse pad. I missed out on the first collectors box, hopefully I wont miss out on this one.

I planned to play WOW since it was released, but I couldn't because of time. Now I think I can at least play 2 hours per day and I think that's enough for me. I hope I can start playing with the collector's edition.
You know what? the best thing I think it is it's the fact that you can say to other guys :"Hey, I have collector's edition, and you NOT :P" lol
