All hail Thrall: Supreme Leader of Azeroth

The Warchief is beginning his transition to Supreme Leader of Azeroth. He will continue to rule from his seat in Orgrimar. He has promised to honorably represent the needs of all of the Azrothean peoples. To help ensure fair treatment of
Thrall's ascent to the throne will be advised by a large transition team who are currently gathering information on the most relevant issues facing the population. The new supreme leader has announced his cabinet. He has personally selected each of his advisors based on their strength and positions of respect among their people. Thrall will be arranging a meeting with Blizzard soon to discuss the needs of Azrotheons.

Thrall? NEVER!
Nothing to do with being an Orc, allot more to do with the fact he holds mass murders and war criminals like Doomhammer and Hellscream as heroes.
To unite the two factions under a single leader we are going to have to look beyond the current faction leaders, who are by nature, well .... factional and therefore divisive.

As I remember, Jaina wasn't included in the poll, but the Alliance players voted her anyway. So, you helped out Thrall by leaving Jaina out.

Sadly all won't be hailing Thrall, and never will. You see, Azeroth isn't like a Western Democracy where what party you support is a largely a matter of ideology. It's a racial and regional divide.
The Alliance faction, for want of a better word, are going to take one look at Thrall’s Horde centric administration and take their bat and ball home. What is in it for the Alliance to support an executive which actively will marginalize them?
We’ve seen it in Northern Ireland and also in Iraq. Two factions that are antagonistic can’t be unified with a conventional ‘Most votes’ democracy, power needs to be shared or the violence will just continue.
Thrall is going to have to share power on some level with Proudmore and her allies or sectarian Militias are going to start fighting for the independence of their own provinces.
L2 build viable democracies.

It's easy to underestimate how popular Jaina is, simply because she's not in the throneroom of Stormwind.
If the Alliance were a popular democracy, she perhaps would be. But of course, a good story is never that simple.
Either way, Jaina is a great character and a great hero of the Alliance.

Thrall's not even from Azeroth! He's an Orc, with deep ties to Draenor! Half his family still lives there! Doesn't the law say you have to be a citizen of Azeroth and 35 years of age to be Supreme Ruler? Thrall is barely in his 20's!
As for actual cabinet positions, King Magni Bronzebeard would obviously be the Secretary of Defense. In all the years Ironforge has existed, it has NEVER been penetrated by enemy forces. That's a defense you can trust.
Education is definitely the Gnomes, not humans. Gnomes even start with a racial intellect bonus. That's an education you can trust.
Labor is most definitely the Orcs' area. The Orcish peons are world-renown for their skills in cheap labor.

Hmmm, I dont like this, and Im officially threatening to move to Northrend ((or whatever the Wow Equivalent of moving to Canada would be)). As a pure red-blooded ((at least I think I bleed red)) Azerothian xenophobe, the idea of a foreigner becoming Supreme Leader of me and my people brings me to tears. Our old heroes like Admiral Proudmore are turning in their graves right now, cringing at the idea that Thrall and Jaina are sitting side by side fooling themselves into thinking they can ever reconcile all the people under one banner.
Sure, maybe Thrall can be the governator of his own people, but he'll never be my leader.
Of course, previous paragraphs not withstanding, clearly the best choice for leader of Azeroth would be the prophet Velen. He was colleagues with some pretty impressive folks in the past- mainly Archimonde and Kil'Jaeden- so he's obviously got some skills. I dont know who ran his PR campaign, but they obviously did a poor job. I dont know, he does have the gift of foresight, so maybe he didnt bother running cause he knew the outcome before the election ever happened.
