Nihilum to stream live Sunwell Plateau raid
Nihilum, in conjunction with Xfire, will be streaming their Sunwell Plateau raid on April 30th live to internet. This is an amazing opportunity for raiders around the world to see how one of WoW's top guilds raids high end content – unedited and uncut.Xfire has a limit of 1000 people on the stream, so you'll have to get there early if you want to watch it. My guess is that 1000 streams is quite inadequate. Based on numbers that I've gotten on the YouTube video's I've posted here, they could easily have ten times that and still be short. Hopefully there'll be more of this, and the number of available streams will increase.
Nihilum's raid will take place at 19:00 CEST April 30th, which is 12:00 p.m. CDT, 1:00 p.m. EDT, and 10:00 a.m. PDT (all on April 30th, no crossing of the international date line).
Mark your calendars for this one. I know I will be!

can i get a live stream of them buying gold? that is the stuff i REALLY want to see. I used to follow these guys pretty close until i found out about them buying gold to fund their raids. Now... imho... everything they have ever done does not amount to a pug lvl 20 5 man in deadmines. if they had to buy gold to do it.. then they did not do it. go ahead and hate me fan boys. not like i will be coming back to reread this post.

buying gold, uhh right. I highly doubt it. Even if they did have a member(s) who said they bought gold I bet they kicked them after finding out.
It wouldn't be a smart idea to be one of the world wide top raiding guilds, that are being watched by blizzard, to have members buying gold.

I read in a few places they buy gold and don't think nothing is wrong with it but now that they have a few sponsors I doubt they do it much anymore.

Riiight... Having 20k gold in your inventory INSTANTLY makes you a great player... you cant buy the deaths of bosses... you're stupid "they bought gold to fund their raids" okay... so they buy pots and pay repair bills just like everyone else... ooooo...big deal >.>

I would bevery interested in some of the technology behind this. I have been able to run WoW in a window at 1280x720, encode to WM and stream that on a single box, but its pretty shaky. Poor comp is about to melt.
So, started looking at ways to spit out the screen and encode on another machine. Doing so at a decent resolution has proven to be interesting. Its easy to do at 640x480, but getting something higher is tough. I play at 1920x1200, so a 1080p thing is what I am shooting for in the long run.
