A Warcraft mount holds a special spot in all of our inventories. It allows us to travel Azeroth, Outlands, and soon Northrend in blazing speeds rivaling those of the mighty Alliance Gryphons. Many people have names for their mounts and become uniquely attached to them. Others make it a point to try to get every mount available to them, often spending years collecting the necessary reputation with each faction.
And who doesn't like to go even faster on the fastest mount? For the speed demon in all of us there are several enchantments and trinkets that make our rides travel faster than before.

Or we could go to the World of Warcraft website for the same information. Also funny how this article pops up not long after the exact same was posted elsewhere.

yea.... because blizzard doesnt have something like this on their official site nor does wowwiki also have a site for mounts

Yeah Slayvore an alliance warrior on Mannoroth has the ashes of alar and he can be seen about five days a week just floating around shatt very similar to the video you linked. Who is the horde on the one that you linked in the video. I was under the impression these were only on a few servers and that there has never been two on the same server. Can anyone confirm any of this

Just a precision... the armored drakes (rewards to the best arena teams) are called Swift Nether Drake (Season 1 reward) and Merciless Nether Drake (Season 2 reward). There are no differences in speed between the two (310%, 20% more than other epic flying mounts, except the Phoenix, who's also 310%). Only the names are different. One can assume that there will be a Vengeful Nether Drake as a reward for Season 3.

The Swift Netherdrake almost, yes, almost makes me want to play PvP. I collect flying mounts.

So many errors its dumbfounding. Pally/lock mounts are lev 60 req, 100% speed increase, Frostwolf howlers cost 50 av marks, and not 30 of each. And several other errors. I suggest less Copy-paste and more proofreading before posting a 'definitive guide'.

Actually, several of those errors have been corrected. Thanks for pointing them out.
With a guide of around 150 different mounts, there were bound to be a couple mistakes, even with three editors going over it. The power of the internet is to correct such errors quickly and easily.
So if you all see any more changes, please just drop a comment here or send a note to adam.holisky@weblogsinc.com and I'll take a look.

Since we're offering suggestions, Xzor: Personally, I would suggest offering your constructive criticism with a little less 'condescending sarcasm' and a little more 'polite insight.'
Adam and his associates didn't have to apply any corrections, but based on your feedback, and the feedback of other readers, the did.
With that said, I agree with several of the other posters. I appreciate the efforts of Adam and the Insider staff, but this seems a little redundant. The purpose of this particular entry could probably have been fulfilled just as effectively by offering links - and maybe reviews - of the plethora of sites already dedicated to Mounts in 'WOW.'

You realize pallies and locks have 2 mounts, right ? One at lvl 40, one at 60...
I don't see any error with the Frostwolf Howler unless it was corrected.

You know what is missing, a guide to rep grind with gnomes (for dwarves). My dwarf main really wants the mechanical chicken, yet I could not find a guide to get one. It's theoretically possible, but since gnomes only have rep quests its challenging.

For a do-it-yourself rep guide, look up the faction in WoWhead and click "Quests" and order them by level:
eg. Ironforge http://www.wowhead.com/?faction=47#quests:0+2+1

I was wondering if I could get some information on which mounts can't be used by certain races (I'm thinking Tauren) for size reasons. I've been away from the game for a while now and I'm looking to get back in. Just wanted to know. Thanks!

I'm a big fan of the Ram mounts and managed to get the Black War Ram for my Draenei Shaman. However it seems a little small for me. Does anyone know if the the Stormpike Battle Charger or the Swift Brewfest rams are larger or at least scale better for Draenei?

There is a Black War Elekk (look in the PvP mounts section).
