Tuesday Morning: Maintenance time

Good Morning Azeroth! It's Tuesday, May 13, 2008, and that means maintenance. As we mentioned earlier, it's an extended maintenance, from 3 AM to 11 AM PST (That means you have about a half an hour of play time left), and it's looking rather likely that 2.4.2's going to drop. Exciting news, but that still means that you'll have at least 8 hours in which it is impossible to play World of Warcraft.

Of course, this means the perfect thing to do is browse WoW Insider. Since 2.4.2's probably on it's way, why not browse all our 2.4.2 news?

You can find the latest test realm page notes here. MMO-Champion points out two new changes: Prince Kael'thas will now drop Primal Nethers in Heroic Magisters Terrace, and the Darkmoon Card: Madness' buffs will now last 60 seconds.

Just a quick heads up, the European login screen news already state that 2.4.2 will be applied on wednesday, so it's safe to say that 2.4.2 will definitely drop today in the US.

ditto. at 30 seconds it's rare for the card to be anything but a pile of stamina for me.

at 60... that sounds like there could be some more utility from it. especially if they fix the bugged "manic" and "dementia" procs so mages can use them.

Damn, I just saw that the Multiphase Survey daily no longer gives a Shattered Sun Supply backpack. This sucks! I do this most mornings while having my coffee, and its nice to get a guaranteeed green item and maybe a BoJ before the day begins, just for running round Oshugun.

Off topic question:
If I have a level 55 on one realm, will I be able to make a Death Knight on another realm?

no, you wont. From what was said in the new information you can have one death knight per realm, ONLY on realms you have a 55+ character on.

You might want to check your eyesight, Taylor.

"The unlock is currently account-wide. You can make your new Death Knight on any server, and on either faction (unless it's a PvP server where you already have characters)."

can you link me to the post saying this from a blue post? all the recent announcements from blizzard and video interviews have said that it is one death knight per server that you have a 55+ on.

Second paragraph down. Its one per realm per account, non dependent on you having a 55 on any specific realm. (Just as long as you have one somewhere.)
