An illustrated guide to Kil'jaeden's hats

With M'uru now apparently substantially nerfed, and several guilds having been past him for a few weeks anyway, the top guilds are now biding their time until they can face off against Kil'jaeden himself. Before they can do that, one last Sunwell Plateau gate needs to be opened; my guess on when that will happen is May 27, two weeks from yesterday, but no-one knows for sure.So I thought I'd jump the gun a little and give you all a preview of the loot we should be able to expect from what will almost certainly be the final raid boss of The Burning Crusade, thanks to MMO-Champion. None of this is confirmed, of course, because nobody has actually fought him yet, but given the item levels, and the fact that we haven't seen them anywhere else yet, we can be pretty sure these are KJ drops. And an odd number of them are helms.

You mention the bow as the fifth/sixth take away legendary. Is that counting weapons only? Because if not I got a rogue on a nice black bug mount that would like to have words with you :)

Is it just me or the helms look ugly as hell? I know the devs are working hard at WOTLK but comon man those helms look horrible, nice stats but still horrible.

Not just you. I doubt they had the time to create brand-new pieces for every class in the game because they're working hard on Wrath, thus all the overlapping, but the leather helms especially are a little on the "Huh?" side.
I guess it wouldn't bother me as much as it does were it not for the fact that most of the tier sets in BC were frankly beautiful and visually interesting.
/shrug - we'll see what happens with Wrath.

"substantially nerfed" isn't how I'd describe Mu'ru. It's still the hardest encounter anywhere in WoW. Arguably the hardest encounter ever to go live.
