What is Onyxia's chance to hit against a 70 Druid in Tier 6?
PeeWee May 27th 2008 7:42AM
As all bosses, she is considered 3 levels above the target. So she should have the same chance to hit as Magtheridon.
Greg May 26th 2008 8:15PM
but seriously very impressive i would have thought only a feral could do this but good job man im amazed.
Knucker May 27th 2008 2:15AM
I actually thought of this idea, a little while ago my friends decided it would be fun to go and kill ony like good old times. When I was able to keep the tank up with a lifebloom stack of 3 with 800 +healing, I thought to myself "this would be pretty easy to solo if I had the gear." But of course, since then, I have been forced to go feral due to oppressive ret pallies and enh shamies, so I've never gotten the gear. But I'd love to try this one day, maybe when the expansion comes out?

Its just bullshit. Why didnt he kill add BEFORE engaging Onyxia, but left him so he could join the fight?....

@BladeeR
"Its just bullshit. Why didnt he kill add BEFORE engaging Onyxia, but left him so he could join the fight?...."
The warders in Onyxia's lair are on a short respawn timer. Anyone trying to fight Onyxia with a limited number of people runs into the problem of the warderw respawning in the middle of the fight. It is a well known problem, and this particular warder will, if he respawns, agro somewhere in the middle of the fight. Understanding this, the druid brought along a friend who could handle the problem for him. Proper planning IMO.

I'm not one to bash the article writers, but did you go to the site, read the description, and watch the movie?
Serennia states in the description that she did NOT do it alone but brought a hunter, who then killed an add for her. That is not a solo IMO, for solo implies by yourself, and 2 =/= 1.
2 manning a previously 40 man raid is nothing to balk at, but giving credit to someone for something they did not do is pretty lame. Though I can only me irritated you did not look into this story, and just went off of her misleading movie title.
Anonymous May 26th 2008 8:36PM
And if you had watched the video, you'd notice the hunter died without dealing any damage so he could be combat rezzed in case the warder bugged out. But I guess you were too busy frothing at the mouth that someone didn't exactly detail the video from start to finish.
snitzle May 26th 2008 8:38PM
dont be a douche. if you watch the video, you realize that the hunter ran in first and got himself killed in the first 10 seconds of the fight.. only after the add spawned, pathed, and proximity agro'd did the druid Brez the hunter so he could kill the add and proceed to solo ONYXIA not onyxia + one...
after the hunter killed the add, he got himself killed again.
seriously. dont be a douche
Nails May 26th 2008 8:38PM
having someone on standby to kill a bugged add and nothing more would still be considered solo, as he states in the video. i agree.
Eliah Hecht May 26th 2008 8:37PM
I did watch the movie and read the description. In my opinion, and based on what she said, this is as solo as it is possible to get, given the bug with the trash mob. All the hunter did was take care of that pat in case it bugged. I don't think a bugged pat should really be considered part of the Onyxia fight, and so I think the druid completed the entire fight -- the parts of it that would normally be part of an Onyxia fight, for a larger group -- alone. If you don't think that counts as solo, fine, but I did keep in mind the hunter's presence when I wrote the article.
