Paladin lays the solo smackdown on Onyxia

The Druid who Soloed Onyxia seems to have become the Shot Heard Around the World. It was just Monday that WoW Insider brought you the video of Serennia of VANQUISH (Cho'gall, US) downing Onyxia. Today, as if challenged, tipsters sent in the video of a Paladin named Par (Khadgar, US), slaying the dragon by his lonesome. A few posts on the Official Forums have discussed the feat. It will be interesting to see if other classes step-up to claim solo Onyxia-credit in the next few weeks.

Edit: There's some question about the original Onyxia Druid soloing - it wasn't Serennia the character, but Serennia the player (who is the Warrior of the same name). According to several commenters, it was Serennia playing on a druid's account. Also, the original Warcraft movie blurb is signed by Serennia of VANQUISH.

I dunno... I think the Metal spec'd Bard can take Onyxia down. Punk and Indie specs will definitely find it hard though. :)

Either he killed it, or he was lucky and the bug didn't trigger, meaning the pat never (re)spawned in the first place.

The difference between my kill and Serennia's may seem insignificant but the fact is mine was done with one player in the zone and his wasn't. He didn't get the bugged warder. They both accomplished the same thing, neither killed the add.

Why does it keep fading out? At one point it fades and he has full mana when it comes back. I'm inclined to suspect shenanigans if he's getting an off screen innervate (which poses the question, what else is he getting?).
Still, I want this to be valid.
Worth noting though, he's not protection. He's holy/prot, enough prot to get reckoning (he doesn't use holy shield), but he's got enough holy to get holy shock. I'm curious to know what spec and consumables he ran with.

I'm not trying to question the authenticity of this vid, and feel free to call me a noob, but at the end of the run when he loots Ony, the loot appears for rolling - doesn't that mean he MUST have been in a group?
I'm not suggesting he was being assisted, just got me thinking!

When I look at Serennia in the armory, they are a warrior. Can you please find out who the actual druid who solo'd onyxia is? please fact check.

Read the article about the first solo kill. Its listed over and over in the comments explaining that the warrior was playing on a friends druid. The name given is for the warrior, the druid is the arena partner. Im too lazy to go look up the name.
