Target suggests Paws and Claws if you can't play Warcraft

Can't get your World of Warcraft Battlechest fix because Recruit-a-friend has sold out all the copies at Target? Worry not, because Target has got just as great a substitute for you: Paws and Claws Pet Vet 2: Healing Hands. Because when you can't conquer the tower of Medivh or slay beasts in Nagrand, the next best thing is playing a mediocre attempt to grab the money of kids who want to grow up to be vets.

Yeah, it's pretty sad, but then again, Target employees aren't necessarily videogame players. And even more sadly, what exactly does it say about PC gaming when the next best seller to WoW is a vet simulator?

It's been a while since I've worked retail, but I would hazard a guess that they just named whatever they had most of in stock. They probably list that game as an alternative to any other game they have out of stock.

Actually i work at Target and we are videogame players...it's just an unfortunate thing that when something might be on sale in the ad and they run out aside from getting a rain check they'll occasionally put out those tags to substitute the item for something ridiculously opposite the actual item >.>

To be fair, we only look at price point and availability when choosing a substitution. And come to think of it, items in Entertainment aren't supposed to be substituted, they're supposed to be rainchecked. Hmm...sounds like someone needs a coaching.

Really? I never knew that, back when I had that horrible job I substituted in Electronics all the time, is it a new policy? I even remember we did those substitutions seperate from the other substitutions in the morning.

Give them a call and ask if they have World of Warcraft Battle Chest in stock and ask what their substituting when they say no, then when they tell you they are substituting that, get incredibly excited and tell them to hold one your on your way!

Why would they be sold out of battlechests for RaF? Triple XP only goes to level 60, so you don't need BC, duh.

Oh you mean people actually recruit RL friends for RaF instead of leveling an alt on a second account? Really?

Umm no they aren't $14.99 (thats the Paws price).

The Battlechest is currently on sale this week at Target for $29.99 ($10 off regular). I know because I just bought mine yesterday. ^^

I recruited a real friend! It's genuinely an awesome way to get new players into the game. They get through the first several levels quickly and get guaranteed playtime with you.
