DirecTV replay still available, showing tomorrow

Reader Stephen dropped us a note to let us know that if you missed the DirecTV stream of BlizzCon the first time around, you've got another chance tomorrow: they're going to show the whole thing again starting tomorrow morning. Seems pretty meh to us -- from what we heard, the stream wasn't all that great. And what you missed in terms of official panel information, you can get right from us here on the site. Anybody hear otherwise? Is this worth watching at all?Of course, even if it's not, there is still one reason to order it, and that is of course the BlizzCon bear. Apparently people who purchase this replay will still get a code good for an ingame bear, and given that the bear and the Starcraft II code from the convention is going for as high as $200 already on eBay, shelling out $40 for just the code might be worth it to you.
And you'll pick up 16 hours of high-quality video along with it -- who wouldn't want to see Ghostcrawler in HD, right?

Maybe also the closing concert? Thats all I want to see/hear, and I cant find any decent clips.

I watched the Pay-Per-View, and whilst it was interesting for everything that we'd have otherwise seen online, the guy host was really frustrating. When he interviewed, he asked questions that were already asked in the panel (forcing the interviewee to essentially rehash what we'd just seen), and he was constantly looking for "exclusives".
A good example was when they were talking about PvP, and the host says "So the Death Knight..." and I think AWESOME, he's gonna ask about where Death Knights are at in PvP! But no... "So the Death Knight... WHAT'S THE NEXT HERO CLASS?!?!?!". *sigh* 16 hours of that got old.
Also, they only showed about two of the tournaments, and they even cut AWAY from the final tournament to do another interview (thank god Blizz has put the tournament vids up on the Blizzcon site).
Anyway, was it worth it? Yes, at the time, to feel a 'part' of the experience. I wouldn't do it after the fact because you'd be fast forwarding through everything that you've read already. I'm still waiting on my Big Blizzard Bear in the mail, too...

I'm not sure what your sources were, but I found the DirecTV feed to be the best $40 I've spent in a long while. Besides the live coverage of the Blizzcon panels, they also showed exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the Blizzard offices and all kinds of cool stuff.
I also found the hosts to be a pleasant surprise. Rather than mindless moderaters to fill in the gaps, they were pretty competent about what they were saying and did a good job with their interviews. A couple stand-out interviews were Curt Schilling and Felicia Day.
And of course, seeing Level 80 and Video Games Live were icing on the proverbial cake. Other than a few technical issues on the first day, I was blown away with the production quality and scope of the coverage. Hats off to Blizzard and DirecTV for making this possible. If you haven't seen this yet, you don't have a clue what you're missing.

I bought the package (I am already a subscriber) and enjoyed watching throughout the weekend. It allowed me to hang out on the couch, play wow on my laptop and level up a new pally character. A lot was repetitive, and a lot was filler, but it was good to see the behind the scenes of Blizzard HQ. The hosts had actually heard of the game, even though the comics onstage had not. I do wish that we could have access to an online blizzard store featuring some of the products the participants could buy, that would be pretty wonderful.

Just a heads up, I don't know that it promises anywhere that you will get both the mount and the beta code for ordering the package. I know for a fact that some cards were printed without beta codes so that could be what you get with this offer.

Where does it say you get the mount? It doesn't say that on the channel or on the DirecTV web site? Is it emailed? Mailed? Thanks.

What if you bought the package event the first time and subscirbe again do you get 2 mount cards since the package was bought twice?

The article is worded a bit confusingly, as it goes right from what people are getting for the Bear+SC2 beta into buying this PPV replay. The Bear + SC2 beta were given out at Blizzcon and are selling for decent money. However, the only thing promised to the DirecTV PPV (and the Australian equivilant, don't know their name) subscribers is a bear mount. I don't think anyone has gotten their's yet, as it is being physically mailed out, but I would be suprised if it included a SC2 key.

The first day was pretty good except the one hour outage and the sound had like a reverb. The host was alright but not the greatest. Jessica was wearing a nice top to which most men answered her looking at her chest and not face. The first night a open mic from the camera man or someone close by made a comment about everyone at the convention. Calling everyone F'n freaks & to bite him with some other words sprinkled in.
The second day was ok except they missed the actual panel for the WoW game play and came in at the begining of the Q&A part of it. Then they cut away from the PvP panel right in the middle to show you behind the scenes stuff you saw from day one.
We also were not shown "The Guild" so I have no idea what they did on stage or what.
Over all, it was nice to feel like part of the event but looking back now. I will not pay another $40.00 for this event if it is carried by the same people. What I mean is Direct TV didn't "actually" do the filming, they just carryed the feed.

Personally, I still don't understand why Blizzard made the decision to charge for this elaborate service. It's not as if they needed the money.
