Twenty two U.S. servers open for free character transfers

Normally there are only a handful of servers involved when Blizzard opens the door for free character moves. However Bornakk announced today a total of 22 U.S. servers that you can move off of. There are various groups of servers, labeled "Source A" through "Source E", that are allowing free moves to destination servers, labeled "Destination A" through "Destination E."If you are interested in taking advantage of these free moves, get in quickly as these offers have been known to close down once Blizzard meets their transfer goals. The transfers begin tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. PDT and end at 12:00 p.m. PDT on November 4th (election day, next Tuesday). You can begin the transfer process by visiting https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/character-move.html when the transfers are available starting tomorrow.

Fantastic. I'll be moving my 70 hunter off Moon Guard. I've been meaning to for a while, but I can't justify spending 25$ to move a character I play maybe an hour a week.

I've been noticing that there seem to be a lot of fellow Moon Guardians in these commenting sections (maybe our 500+ queues have something to do with that, but still interesting).

woot I thought I was gonna have to delete a lowbie alt I hadn't gotten just high enough to not want to delete, just to make room for a deathknight, now I will just transfer them off and have a free slot..

I looked into moving from Silvermoon--but my only choice was a Latin American server (Quel'Thalas), not Korialstrasz as is stated above. What gives? Is this because I live near San Diego, so they assume I speak Spanish?

Fenris has the same destination realm. I don't speak Spanish...why should my only free xfer be to a realm with a language barrier?

There was a blue post by Bornakk (I think) that said the Latin transfers were now and that the North American transfers would happen later today.

Because the objective of those xfers is to allow those latin american pve'ers to transfer to the latin american realm.
When the latin servers were released, only Ragnaros (PvP) was open to transfers. That left the PvE'ers with the choice of transfering to a PvP server and be suceptible to gankers... or keep playing in english-speaking pve realms.
Now Blizz is allowing them to xfer, as they promised a couple months ago.

They are opening free server transfers when there are about 2000 ppl stuff in transfer limbo or name change limbo. They jsut want to add more problems to the mix it seems

Yea no kidding I know 2 people who are stuck right now waiting to join us. They have already missed out on some good runs.

Gah! My nice, quiet little low-pop server (Sisters of Elune) is on the destination list! Leave us alone, we like our huge, empty, node-rich zones and lag-free major cities... :D

Honestly...Why Tichondrius...We have more than enough people and sitting in a queue of 700+ people is terrible... Transfer OFF of Tich not TO Tich.

I'm kinda glad Azshara is getting some love, we have a really really low pop, blizz once said we were the lowest pop server.
