Breakfast Topic: The month of the Lich King

It's November, the onset of the cool months, the time when winter's chill begins its fast approach. In less than two weeks, the World of Warcraft will be transformed completely with the arrival of one of the most anticipated games of the year. We've been given a teaser through the game-changing Echoes of Doom, but most of the good stuff is in Northrend. It's an entire new continent with more quests, more mobs to kill, ten more levels, and one totally badass bad guy we eventually need to kill.

There will be midnight launches all over the United States and select countries all over the world. Some of you have already pre-ordered, some will be lining up at the stores, while a few will wait out the initial rush of players who will be needing a bigger boat. Are you excited? How are you playing the game these last few days of The Burning Crusade? Are there things you wish to accomplish before Northrend opens up? Like reach Level 70, maybe? Well, you have about two weeks. Get hopping. The weather's about to get really cold.

Planning to get myself a new desktop so that I don't have to sit out the first couple weeks of wrath. My laptop has managed to get me through WOW so far, but I'm still pretty new to the game, and I missed the initial BC madness. My computer as it is starts to sputter and die in Shatt every time I go, and if I don't keep a cooling pad under it when playing WOW, whether Outland or Azeroth, my computer crashes all the time.

I still need to put in a pre-order, though.

As it is, I'm putting in all the quests I can, trying for a good amount of gold so I'm all set for Northrend. Still not going to be as well off as my friends who have been playing the game longer, but hey, it's worth a shot, right?

Achievements, last minute upgrades/tweaks for leveling and mats to kick off some easy profession points.

My guild ignorance on alonsus eu just got down mother in BT and our goal is to get down illidan on Tuesday.. It's interesting to add as many guilds are having rough times we've built on a good team & now one of the stronger guilds on the server..

Not according to the USA calendar. Today is the 1st, it comes out on the 13rh, making it 12 days at the least.

I made myself goals before wraith, get my main chars up to 70, get a netherdrake, get down illidan. Did all that with time to spare. Now i got a third to 70 and a fourth to 66. Hurry up blizz, i'm running out of goals, lol

Got about 60 quests in Netherstorm and 45 in SMV. I really badly want to get these quests down before Wrath otherwise I'm gonna miss out on some easy Goldzzz.

If I do manage to get those done, I'll try getting the last 14k of Kurenai rep for exalted, although this is something that will probably be easier once I'm level 80, so no big rush.
Also same with getting exalted with all 4 Steamwheedle factions, Dire Maul runs will be a piece of cake at 80.

The same as two people posted above. Sorting a new pc in the next few days so that the initial lag of *insert stupidly high number here* people per area doesn't turn my hardware into a smoldering mess of spare parts... And farming dailies every day until release. which should net me about another 2k+ gold to add onto the already substantial pile. Lots of expensive stuff to buy in wrath. Mammoth mount + the new polymorph (is it black cat? or just cat?) = having to spend more gold then the average casual has spent in their entire time playing

I'm exploring the old world. Otherwise how can I get the title...

However I can't face going through Darnissus as a level 70 with level 80 gaurds looking out for me.

Interesting point. I forgot Teldrassil was built backwards so you have to run through a capital city to explore the region. Having explored all of Azeroth and Outland, I can't think of any Alliance situation which is the same (though I did have to run INTO the BE city to get credit for discovering it)

Still not sure how to get into Ogrimmar to get the Ragefire credit though, and Fishing Diplomat was a real pain to pull off

Somehow I feel this expansion will bring much, much more depth into the game than the previous expansion.

More Content, and more quality in the content.
More Depth, and more solid lore and character depth.
More beautiful artwork, graphics, sceney and dungeons to explore!

More fun, basically :)

If only they could get the class balance issues fixed...

Hell, I lost my job, so unless I can find a new one, I'll be stuck running around Outland while my friends are in Northrend... or at least until my timecard runs out, in which case I'm gone for a while from WoW

I'm trying to get my rogue alt to 70 (dinged 66 today, finishing Zangarmarsh apart from some Kurenai quests) but not gonna hurry up for WOTLK or anything, because meanwhile I'm just having fun, like pursuing PvP achievements and the likes.

1 New computer, so I can dual box since I now have two accounts.

2 Ready my 70s for Northrend, gold, get last bits of armor, make sure professions are capped.

3 Level the new pets on my 4 seventy hunters (cough) up.

Of course I'm excited! I have been enjoying nerf 3.0 and running all the BC instances/raids. I should get some more gold but the routine of dailies is far from what I consider "fun". Its more like a chore. I

I'm more of a casual play - my main is only 39 and I usually play at most 10-15 hours in a week - but I'm absolutely thrilled for the expansion. The sheer amount of new content, the fact that my pally can now get a motorcycle, and knowing that there's not one but two massive new areas for me to explore once I finally get to a high enough level.

Bring it.
