Finding your Wrath profession trainers

You gatherers are going to need the know-how to start hoarding items for fun and profit, and craftspeople will want to see what new items can soon be constructed. Besides, you won't want to be left behind in the server-wide race to the new level cap, 450.
This information might affect which starting zone you choose to explore first, so pass through the break to see what stops you should be making before you venture out to quest and conquer.
If you can find a mage to port you to Dalaran, or a warlock who can summon you, then you should find your trainers there. For most people, especially over the first few days after launch, the easiest way to train will be to simply head to a starting zone.
According to Wowhead, and this may change, almost every profession can be trained by both factions at both starting zones, except as noted below.
Howling Fjord outposts
Alliance: Valgarde
Horde: Vengeance Landing
- Horde leatherworkers and engineers will have to visit this outpost to train.
Alliance: Valiance Keep
Horde: Warsong Hold

Seems like a waste of a post if all it says is "Go to wowhead to look up the trainer locations, except for these 2, who are over here instead".

As far as I'm concerned, Alliance engineers will have to train in Howling Fjord (There is not engineer trainer in the Borean Tundra).
My Holy Paladin was camped in Menethil to go train there engineering (one of the quest items for the Tundra was an engineer made item), after that I will Hearthstone to Stormwind City and take the boat to Borean Tundra to keep on going with my 'adventure' in the frozen wastes of Northrend.
So, if anybody want my advice, set your hearthstone in the town or city that takes you to the zone where you want to start and then ride and/or take a taxi to the other one so you don't have to wait FOREVER during those loading screens of doom (several players in Beta used to get taken back in the same boat because the huge amount of players in the boats/zeppelins made the loading screens take forever and a year).

Logic says Borean Tundra would have at least one engineering trainer for Alliance. Fizzcrank Airstrip is all gnomes, and gnomes are primarily known for engineering.

Your logic would fail you here, RogueJedi. Logic would also place an anvil in Tinkertown, capital of these gnomes that are so well known for their engineering skills. However you will clearly see that they have only been granted a forge to smelt metal, and they have to go elsewhere to actually do any engineering work.

Yah I was going to start my alliance engy guy in Borean before I checked out Wowhead and the early Engy recipes are only available in Howling Fjord. There is an Eng trainer in Borean but Wowhead doesn't show him as having any of the "starter" WotLK items. Maybe his entry has just not been fully updated though.

Someone on my server just got a realm first as grand master angler - it gives you a worldwide shout out! Like when you get an achievement, but to everyone.

On my realm (Shattered Halls EU) somebody just got the realm first Grand Master Skinner.
With just a few hours of playtime :P

surely it would make sense at the start (until you get to the captial) to keep hearth in Strat. then you can portal to whatever capital you need quickly

Borean Tundra Horde starting area has an engineer trainer... is it just me or is this post an odd one?
