Steins come to the EU
Good news, EU players -- now you can store your ale in a WoW stein also. 3 Point Entertainment, the group responsible for making those official World of Warcraft beer steins, has announced that they are now selling the steins overseas as well, meaning that even EU players can spend $80 on a cup that won't even fit in your cup-holder.
We kid -- at $80, these things better be nice, and they probably are -- each one, we're told, is handcrafted and made of "fine grain stoneware," whatever that is. The company says that the North American sales have been very good so far, and that a few people have even bought them for wedding or groomsmen gifts. Because nothing starts a marriage off right quite like a WoW stein, yeah?
Still, Europeans, if you've been waiting to get your hands on one, now's your chance. Cheers!

I got two, one for me and one for my brother for a Christmas present. They look great. My thumb just isn't long enough to hold the handle and tip open the lid at the same time.

Be prepared to wait up to 4 months for delivery. A friend ordered one in mid July for a B-day present at the end of Sept. it arrived on the 10th of Nov. It is very nice and the pewter lid is very well crafted no casting seams or flash.

I ordered mine back this summer as well but that was a preorder back then, the items were not supposed to ship until fall.

Yeah Be prepared to wait. I ordered 4 (2 of each) when they were announced. They arrived just prior to Halloween. They are very well crafted and quite heavy. If you dont want to drink out of them, they will make a nice 1H mace in a pinch.

I got my 2. They took awhile. But both me and the woman are very happy with them! They look great! They hold mead great, too!

lol, I doubt these will be very successful here in Germany. Together with Cuckoo clocks and Bavarian Lederhosen, they are considered the symbol of that old-fashioned German style that the younger ones most positively do not want to get involved with.
Some people own steins that their grandpas were given by the army if they survived WWI. Those are worth up to 2000€, still most people below the age of 60 think they are too ugly to be put somewhere where they can be seen.
So... that's a dislike that cannot be made up for by WoW...
