Snowshaman!

This is brilliant -- after Anna jokingly asked for pictures of Snowshaman, she actually got one. Niyahti and her husband built this snowshaman, complete with two totems (though we're not sure which ones they are -- Wrath of Air and Frost Resist maybe?). Sure, it loses a little something in the translation from polygons to frozen water, but remember the medium. Considering it's handmade with snow, that's a pretty good snowshaman. The horns on the head must mean it's a Draenei, right? Though I have no idea what the sticks are coming out of the front.
And hey, if you happen to get a nice bit of snowfall this month and feel like you can make a better one, feel free. We'd love to see it.

Niyahti assures me that the icicle horns are intended as Draenei horns - since her shaman is a Draenei! She also says that finding icicles that will work as Draenei horns was a bit of a challenge!

I hate to say it, but I can already see the trolls posting things like "That's so ****ing stupid", etcetera, ad nauseum, to which I would only say the following - you think you can do better? PROVE IT! I'd love to see some more winter works up here...especially given that Wrath takes place in Northrend which is covered in...what, again? :-)
I have always loved making snowmen. It's something that regardless of how old you are, it brings out the kid in you. It's something that kids can learn to do and have fun doing from the moment they first start walking, and it's something that the family can get involved in! Further, you don't need to be Michelangelo to make a recognizable (and fun!) work of art!

And for those who live in a climate that doesn't get any snow (or at least not enough of it), there are other mediums on a miniature scale...modeling clay, Play-Doh (let's face it...we never outgrow Play-Doh...it's the smell!), hey...use your imagination!

Lol - I am glad she was such a hit! We had an absolute blast making her. Anna's my best friend in RL, so when we headed to Colorado to play in the snow for a week, we promised to make her one.
And yes, the pine needles are for her kilt. Just kinda hard to make even! =P
