Felicia Day teaches Jimmy Fallon about World of Warcraft

As you can see above, Fallon isn't much for Azeroth -- while Felicia is rocking a pretty hardcore Warlock, Jimmy still has a tough time getting past the character creation screen. But he did drum at least one laugh out of me (which is one more than he ever got from me on SNL), so well done. I very much agree with the commenters on the blog -- if he can keep the show technology and geek-focused like this (and maybe get at least one character up to level 30 -- all Felicia had to do was say "roll on a PvE server," right?), he might have a chance at filling Conan's shoes.

Fallon doesn't deserve to shine Conan's shoes, let alone try to fill them.
Just picture him in his opening monologue, staring off-camera while he clumsily reads off the teleprompter like he did all through his SNL years...yeah all the geek love in the world wouldn't help this show.

I just heard the other day that he was given that time slot to take over for Conan. I couldn't believe it, out of all the people why in the world did they choose him? His comedy delivery is so stale and flat theirs just nothing special about him. The bright side of all this is that we get to see Felicia in a non "Guild" video just kinda being her self.

To be fair, you just described the first three years of Late Night with Conan O'Brien. *Nobody* thought he'd be able to fill the shoes of David Letterman, and he's turned out to be, arguably, the king of late night.
Granted, Conan also wrote some great SNL sketches and The Simpsosn episodes, and didn't have much on-camera experience, whereas I've never cared for Jimmy Fallon, who's written and acted on SNL and in films for quite some time.
We'll see how it goes. I'm just glad Conan will still be around.

I find Jimmy Fallon entertaining, but I don't know why. He wasn't exactly great on SNL, and in that video he illicited only a few minor chuckles, but overall I think he has an amusing personality, or something. He's genial. Likeable. I don't watch TV at all, but I'm not as against his show as I was when I first heard about it. Late-night talk shows are more about the personality of the host and their interaction with their guests than about pure stand-up hilarity. I'll give it a shot.

Jimmy's problem is that he's a Dave Matthews Band wannabe.
I mean look at him and then look at a photo of Dave Matthews.
He's holding on too tight to the Slacker generation.
He's also a Boston guy, which immediately type-casts him as a Starbucks/Shaggy/Commercially Apathetic loser.

Felicia Day is a very pretty lady. I will give you that. However the whole "Gamer Superstar" thing is a little out of proportion...
