Breakfast Topic: Not a patch day

Today is not patch day. That's actually the good news. Despite the bug fixes that Ghostcrawler promised should come up after regular weekly maintenance, there doesn't seem to be signs of a patch. Adam contends there's possibly a patch because some fixing needs to be done client side. At any rate, there will be no hat eating today, and even if there is a tiny patch, it's still not a patch patch. Right now we're still reeling from the aftermath of the disastrous Patch 3.0.8 which received some mixed reactions. Even Hunters, who were supposed to get a nerf, simply re-specced to Survival and went along their merry DPS meter-topping ways. Warlocks were supposed to get a buff, but instead got a bug in the form of a 2-minute cooldown to Ritual of Summoning. Let's not even talk about PvP where Wintergrasp crashed everything and Arenas were disabled because, well, the new undocumented ratings system just plain sucked.
So if there's anything to be thankful for today, it's that it's not a patch day. Not an official one, at any rate. When the servers come up later today, what do expect to find? No more lag? Fixed items? Fixed spells? Or, are you willing to wager -- eating your hat, maybe -- that today's "fix" will only bring more bugs?
Update: Alex here! Silly Zach, today is a patch day! It's a minor patch, bringing us up to v3.0.8.9506. The same questions here all apply, though. What fixes are you hoping to see today? Will game experience improve after today's maintenance?

There was a patch, i started up wow and the client downloaded something. Had to reverify the EULA again...

No, you are wrong because WowInsider is right about everything.
In fact -- wait a minute, now that you mention it... they are wrong about most things involving patch predictions, and they even said they would stop doing that!

Have i missed something?
When did they specify lag would be removed?
I was under the impression only the 3 bugs listed we to be fixed in the proposed patch. Only people eating hats should be wowinsider for saying "There is no patch" but they left themselves wiggle room to avoid it on purpose so... again... no hat eating.
Only prospective hat eaters were us, as mentioned at the end of the article, should we wish to wager that other things, undocumented things, would be changed for some reason, or that new bugs should arise... Or did i miss something?

I'm starting to think they'll never fix the lag like its unfixable or something that or they just dont care enough to work on a fix.

On the lag issues...
I have had major lag problems during 25mans and I have found that spending a little bit of time tweaking my performance really made a huge difference.
#1 Disable Death Knight voice modulation in your sounds menu. It's cool but it DESTROYS YOU in 25man.
#2 Download latest graphics drivers.
#3 Find a good warcraft tweaking guide (this ain't it). I run Nvidia so I found this guide useful (you will have to wait for the forums to come back tho):

I opened my client, it divided by zero. I'm now also able to type on this website by telepathy by some related events.

Disastrous? Orly? I was able to log in, farm some ore and BGs on my my main, then level my DK from 55 to 69 in a week, Seems everything was working ok for me.

Yeah, patch downloaded and installed.
You guys have been REALLY off the mark concerning patches today. Maybe need to wrap some tinfoil around your antennas or something.
