Patch 3.1 PTR maintenance and patch today

Edit: To clarify, the PTR is getting a new patch/build. Patch 3.1 is not hitting live realms today. Sorry for theconfusion.Dresorull, a member of Blizzard's QA team, has just posted that the PTR is coming down (has come down by now, actually) for maintenance and a new build will be pushed through There's no ETA for when the realms will be coming back up, but it's safe to say that it will be a few hours at least. Dresorull also says they'll update the maintenance thread when they do have an ETA, so that's something we'll be keeping our eyes on.
There's sure to be a ton of changes in the patch, and as soon as we have more information, we'll be sure to pass it on to you. Personally, I'm looking forward to some of the little bugs in the Argent Tournament being cleared up so I can test out the rest of that chain, but I'll take what I can get! Tonight is going to be a busy night at the WoW Insider HQ, I suspect.

There is no need for thesekind of "hype-articles" about the PTR to the general public outside the official PTR forums.
Keep the posts directed at news about future patch changes, not drooling about the TESTING servers.

Yeah, there's probably a lot of us that could care less what goes on in the PTR. If you read over that too quickly, people are gonna freak that 3.1 is dropping live today.

Well this is news, and some people do care about what is going on with the PTR. I am also betting there are some people who read this websites information who are apart of the test realms, and maybe just maybe this would be a way for them to know what is going on.

They can report about whatever they want. Just because you might have become excited and then disappointed doesn't suddenly mean that they're doing bad reporting. I saw the headline and new precisely what they were talking about. A new build of the PTR is a big deal because more changes come with it that will affect the live realms when the PTR is over. They were basically saying "keep your eyes peeled and your ears open... more changes to discuss, debate, test, theorycraft, cry or drool over are coming very soon". Deal with it.

I'm just dreading the coming weeks where every Tuesday we'll see "It's Tuesday! Is Patch 3.1 today??" They were pretty bad for 3.0.9; I can only imagine they'll be much worse for this patch.

I want to know when they make changes on the PTR for the upcoming patch, that's why I come to this site - for WoW news. Some day, I hope we can get a patch that makes the community a little less harsh and a little more intelligent.
