April Fools.I like it and I don't.
It can sometimes be hard to distinguish between real news and fake news, especially with some of the elaborate schemes people do in order to make the fake stuff seem as real as possible. And there's a lot of it too. Google and Blizzard win the day, as usual. C.A.D.I.E anyone? The page is a throwback to the 1990s Geocities pages many of us made back then. My Geocities site had to do with Star Trek and lots of other nerdy stuff, although someone on staff had a Digimon site (I'm not telling who...).
After the break you can check out our list of all the April Fools jokes that went on yesterday that pertained to WoW. And for posterity's sake we've taken as many snapshots of the pages as we could and put them in a nice gallery so 10 years from now we can all look back and go "Aww... isn't that... /facepalm."

- ID's World of Quake - I'm quitting WoW. Everything is just a slap in the face compared to WoQ.

I know you like hearing about Tankspot, but they did one also, that was pretty clever and alot of people fell for it.

Tankspots was the best of the bunch. Only april fools i've ever fallen for (maybe because tankspot is the first site i load up and didnt realise the date). They actually made a believable hoax instead of going for wacky crap, and Ciderhelm deleted all comments about it being an april fools joke from the first few pages to keep the gag running.

I didn't see the DIII or SCII one's yesterday. Those are way better than this year's WoW stuff.

I went to wowhead yesterday and thought, "huh? wierd? well they are always playing around with stuff, guess this is their new option"...never even occured to me that it was a joke...

I believe that April Fools Jokes are just awesome. I think that people that don't like them have little humor and no patience because it is one day out of the year where you must not take everything seriously.
On another note, when you mentioned geocities. I still have my DRAGON BALL Z geocities......

The Wowhead Armory did mess me up a bit. Especially since I had been looking in the WoW Armory right before flipping to Wowhead lol.

I loaded up my guild forums on Arpil Fools to find an announcement saying the guild was leaving wow for Hello Kitty - best bit was they totally reskinned the forums to look like the Hello Kitty world!

I posted a fake addon on wowinterface.com and on the official forums. I got some laughs out of the wowinterface guys and a permaban from the official forums (which has since been lifted).

My guild Explicit Content on Rexxar did a Naked Gnome Mile. This was our second one we did. Its was all level 1 gnomes naked running from Valiance Keep in Borean Tundra to Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight.
The rules was simple you had to be a lvl 1 gnome naked and PVP flagged. No rezs, no graveyard jumping, had to run back to your body to rez, no swimming, no taking the boat to Dragonblight. We had prizes for first, second and third. First got the bear mount from the WOW trade card game. Second a hippogryph pet from the card game. Third got a sandbox tiger from the game.
It was a lot of fun. We had Hordes chasing us and killing some of us. We recorded it our GM is planning to make a video out of it. We are planning another later this year.
