Blizzard starts selling gold (coins)

I don't have a lot of detail on this, but the news from Comic-Con is that Blizzard is finally starting to sell gold! Collectible WoW-inspired gold, silver, and copper coins, that is. What did you think I was talking about?
They'll come in both Horde and Alliance versions, and are being made by DC Unlimited. DC also handles the WoW comic, so that's unsurprising. If we hear anything more on pricing and/or availability, we'll be sure to let you know.

Huh, thats funny.
Just this morning I was thinking that Horde coins would be:
Gold: Thralls
Silver: Windrunners
Copper: Goblins
I wonder Who/What is going to be on each 'limited edition collectors coin'

Well you got two out of three right (Thrall and Sylvannas) but the last is Carn as the coins seem to be related to "ranking" leaders in order of highest to lowest.

What I find odd is that the Horde apparently puts the leaders of attempted coups on their coins; aren't traitors usually vilified, rather than celebrated? Maybe Thrall's thinking to get Sylvanas invested in the Horde so she'll stop all the "Kill all the living" talk and maybe not dump biological weapons onto his armies anymore.

Why is 3.2 downloading? This isn't the one from last week but, the patch says it's 3.2...its in the background downloader and its stuck on 72%...anyone else?
Also, this is kinda cool. You can get your WoW merch. fix without looking like a nerd. Wonder if any places would take these as currency?

Having spent thousands of dollars preordering this WoW currency with quite a large depost I am now quite worried, as the article has stated that this won't in fact be considered legal tender in any area of the world, and I've been informed that the "World of Warcraft" isn't in fact a World I can travel to outside of the digital realm.
I am now in the position where I think I should warn others that if they wish to use this as a form of currency it might indeed be quite difficult, and if they have purchased any airline tickets to a location within Azeroth they may indeed have been taken advantage of by a person of unsavoury nature.
It reminds me of the time I was herding goats in mongolia and the only means of purchasing objects I had was through barter. This proved quite difficult as the goat related products market in Mongolia could be considered highly competitive. In order to survive and feed my many young goats I had to partake in various scams. One of these scams involved letting our goats free upon a persons land, at which point they would eat and consume much of their green pastures. They would then call our second business, which was goat removal. At which point we would take back our goats, now well fed, and get paid to do so.
The local denizens of Mongolia soon caught on and we were forced to flee on the back of our goats, who were sadly quite slow as the years of being well fed upon other peoples pastures had caused them to become quite plump. As a means of escape, when we had a few short moments, we gutted and hollowed out a few of the goats, and wore their corpses as costumes.
Hidden inside the goats we were able to trot across the border to safety.
As you can see from my story I feel that these coins may in fact not be made entirely of the substance they claim to be made off, as well as have little ability to be used as actual currency, forcing you to sell your goats, or exploit others land to feed your goats, while being paid to remove them later.
