Icecrown Gunship testing cancelled (Update: for the EU)

As for what this means for the testing cycle, probably nothing at all -- delays and changes are pretty standard for the test realm, and even as they said in the original announcement, bosses can go up and down whenever the devs want. I do think we will see the gunship battle tested on the PTR at some point, though -- it seems like one of the more complicated encounters in the instance, and Blizzard will surely want to put it under a microscope sometime before the patch goes live.
Update: Apparently the gunship battle is live right now (4:40pm Pacific) on the test realm. If you want to see what it's like, get yourself a raid and head on in.

Yeah, turns out the gnomes dropped their atomic bomb a little early and it destroyed the servers. Blizzard employees are now fighting for gasoline amidst the barren wastes of what once was Irvine, California.

Ahh, of course this would be the encounter to get delayed! I want to know so badly why it is they're fighting, especially right in the lair of the Lich King! Not to mention of course Muradin and Saurfang are pure win. I wonder how this battle will play out...

I managed to play some of this before they took the instnace down. Basicly you go up a ramp to the ship with Saurfang onboard (Horde) he starts the ship and you have some turrets to shoot down some frost wyrms which fly around. The alliance ship then comes up next to you and have a show down with them. Disconnected so didn't see all of it.

Arthas must be laughing his helm off when he sees the Ally and Horde going at each other like this during the assault on his citadel.
I know the game is spawned from Alliance vs Horde RTS, but you'd think they could keep cool heads long enough to deal with the real threat.

Will "Gunship Battle" become a new "WGL"? I mean when A-gunship have won then Alliance can do quests in ICC, if H-gunship have won then Horde doing quests in ICC?
