Rawr updated to 2.2.25 [Update: 2.2.27]

They also mention that the app just got another update, to version 2.2.25, and all of the release notes are posted over on their site. They're also looking for help -- if you're a C# developer, or know one who can work on their rogue and hunter models, be sure to let them know. Since the program is open source, anybody who knows the code can jump in and add their own features, or fine-tune the class choices, which then helps out everyone who uses the software. Rawr is definitely an excellent resource for anyone looking to get their gear perfected -- it's a free download for Windows on their site right now.
Update: Since this post was written, the app has been updated to 2.2.27. That was fast!

Your a little behind, the latest build is 2.2.27 that is the stable download.

I really hope there's not going to be a post on wow.com every time there's a new version of Rawr. There's at least one update for it every week.

The Hunter model has been in need of some work for a while now.
It does a pretty good job with the Holy Paladin model, though, which is what I typically use it for.
Odd that there's a post here just now about an update despite the almost weekly updates Rawr typically posts.

Rawr and WoW-Heroes are 2 different things.

Why the down rate people? This is a good question. As someone who hasn't played since 3.2 PTR I'm not as up to date as I should be on all this information. But what always endeared me to Rawr over WoW Heroes was the fact that Rawr lets me see what DPS my hunter would put out if I was wearing a different helm or such... I only ever used WoW Heroes to tell me what PVE content I should be trying to get into.

As far as I know, Wow-Heroes does not have an "Optimize" (the really nice feature in Rawr) to select better enchants/gems for your current gear (as in the whole set, not just each piece at time.)

I know that this program was written in C#, which runs the .Net framework. There is a open sourced port of the framework called Mono, which I believe runs on Mac (it runs in Linux no problem). If it works, it should let you run it on a Mac (or almost any other .Net application).
There was a note that you need to use a previous version of Mono, v2.2, to make it work. Don't know all the details.

You can run this on a Mac. If you install Mono v2.2. RAWR is coded, as the article stated in C#. Mono allows .NET applications to run on Mac, Linux, or whatever OS Mono is supported on.

@carabou - I'm sorry but your information is incorrect. I am a professional developer for a large company, our MS rep was here not two weeks ago trying to push some Silverlight 3 stuff on us. Its latest release was the 1st of September 2009. Silverlight is still a very supported product.

Hmm, no edit.
I'm wondering if it's possible becasue custom gear wieghts are handy. If Rawr did this it'd be easy go generate them.
