Brief launcher update

There is no indication that patch 3.3 is anywhere near downloading or anything other than a small tools patch. There has also been no word from Blizzard yet on exactly what this patch does, but it is required if you want to log into the game. The patch is very small and only takes a handful of seconds to download and apply.
We'll keep an eye on this issue for any problems, but as of this writing, all is well.

I'd assume this fixes the issue of not being able to use the launcher to launch another instance of wow when you have one running.

I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one with the issue. I'm a multi boxer and I noticed last night I couldn't open the launcher twice. Another thing I have noticed. Not a big deal but if you're a multi boxer it can annoy you. I can't use the same authent code on multiple accounts. I have wait till the code resets for each account of mine. With my key binding program I used to just type my password and then B.net code and it would type on all 5 accounts. But now you have to use a different code for each account. Make sense?

There was an issue with the previous launcher update (a few days ago) which prevented people from opening multiple copies of WoW via the launcher. I would imagine this patch addresses that issue.

I just hope they fix 'itemcache.wdb' thing (seems not a bug accroding to blizz).
Anytime there's a new patch, launcher patch or content patch, I get disconnected because of the massive net requests that jam up my modem.

i noticed one small change AFTER the last patch. i had an open gm ticket, and rather than just get the email saying sorry they couldn't talk to me in game and all that, i instead was told to click the box that tells me i have an open ticket. then i got a window similar to the one where i submitted the ticket that said all the stuff the email normally would.

i have a problem with the dowload it says waiting for all files to close and i cant download it i have now clue what is wrong.... damnit

Odd, it downloads for me but then I get the following error message:
"The update could not be applied.
The file "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft\Uninstall.xml.temp" could not be created. If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (InstallerFile::Create)"
Hope it's just me and not something widespread, though I really am not looking forward to reinstalling the game either. It's always a bit of a hassle.

I had a very similar warning running Vista; same warning but a different file.
Just run the patch anyway. It's slow as hell and spawns a million error messages, but-- WoW works just fine now that it finally finished.

On Vista/Win7 try running the launcher as the administrator (Shift+Rt Click the launcher and choose "Run as Administrator") I get that error a lot on patches and when i run them this way, it all works.

If it like the last patch in witch i had to uninstall the game and i still can't get rid of 2 files. Then make a new folder to install the game and repatch again. I am going to be done with the game until i up grade to windows 7

It locked me up while playing then booted me off. It did download but took a good 15 minutes. I can get into my character screen and I can pick one then it fully downloads but I never get into the game. What is up with this?
