Patch 3.3: Quel'delar caster mace hastened

Well, Blizzard may not have caved to tanks or rogues, but they certainly caved to DPS casters, as Bornakk indicates that the MP5 on the Hammer of Purified Flame is being converted to haste to better match Quel'delar, Lens of the Mind. As an elemental shaman in dire need of replacing his Aesuga, I appreciate that!
Then again, this makes it even more odd that sword-and-board tanks are still left out in the cold in this questline. I suppose there's still time before the patch for Blizzard to make the change, but it looks like they're not going that route. Oh well, tanks. There's always dual-spec.
Patch 3.3 is the last major patch of Wrath of the Lich King. With the new Icecrown Citadel 5-man dungeons and 10/25-man raid arriving soon, patch 3.3 will deal the final blow to Arthas. WoW.com's Guide to Patch 3.3 will keep you updated with all the latest patch news.

First: Not it is NOT more epic, it is poorly itemized, the proc is incredibly unreliable, too much of the budget is used up with said unreliable legacy proc and it's on a bloated loot list that you -might- have access to twice a week (as opposed to 7 times a week for QD quest item).
Warriors also have a big problem with the QS speed as it is works very poorly with Heroic Strike.
On top of that it is a level 232/245 poorly itemized item while you get to go for a 251 item almost certain to fit your prefered spec.
DPS and Healers -WILL- get a QD or equivelent.
SnB Tanks -MIGHT- get a lower item and it will probably be useless to them.
(also please explains how it diminishes you if there is a SnB tank sword and a rogue dagger added to the list?)

So how do all these people that are QQ about no tank sword know that blizzard doesn't have somthing else in store for them and there weapons?
How about hold up on the QQ untill its actully in the game!

I think the issue is, it's an epic quest chain that we'll have to do OVER AND OVER to get these swords/maces for other people (They can't tank the instances themselves) and we don't even get the payoff of something we can use for it. Its a shame that what seems like well-planned and interesting content becomes unmotivating for a portion of the playerbase who will be most required to complete it.

Annoyed that you can't get a tanking version of this. And there I was all excited when it was stated that it could be used by everyone.

Damn I wanted a tanking version!
You know what it's like to be disappointed again and again by the RNG and having my main in almost full 245 tanking gear except for my friggin' patethic [Peacekeeper's Blade] (the crap sword from ToC 5 H).
No tanking Quel'Delar is a very bad decision :P

Peacekeeper's Blade rules. If the rest of your gear def-cap's you, it's a sweet sword. Socket =+30 stam = Delicious. And you can gem the socket for Def rating if you need to, anyway.

Gah. As a druid, haste is not as useful for me as a healer as it is for the other healing classes, although that may be because I outgear most of the content I run, so it's not as vital for me to be able to get off quick regrowths and as many rejuvenations as I can. I even "downgraded" from a purple healing trinket to a blue one because the blue one granted spellpower, and the purple one granted haste. Regardless, I guess my mind has been made up for me; when I finish that quest-line, I will be a proud owner of the Lightborn Spire, not the Hammer of Purified Flames.

As a pally tank, I'm thrilled that I won't feel obligated to purchase a tank weapon. I can never take a 2h dps weapon from a main spec dps in a raid, and that usually leaves me with a fairly poor weapon for when I need to DPS (e.g. faction champs). It'll be nice to finally get rid of Worldcarver.

I'm so glad there isn't a tanking weapon, otherwise I'd feel obligated to pick it up, not to mention every nub that rolls a FotM tank is going to be rolling around with it, like that sword from ToC

A rare drop that is lower ilevel and comes from a boss with many excellent DPS weapons is *totally* comparable to Quel'delar.

How does it hurt you for a tank sword to be added?
Let's look at the weapon progression list shall we?
Red Sword of Courage, Axes of the (racial) Protector - Level 200
Peacekeeper - 219 (or is it 200 I cannot remember)
Last Laugh, Titanguard - 226 (both from 25man bosses)
Quel'Serrar - 232 or 245 both of which are crap for their item level (see above critique)
The top three have to be raided for, you MIGHT see one if you are lucky.
DPS now gets a 251 item they can try for 7 times in a week so they'll likely get one eventually.
This makes sense how? Since most of you are raiding with Sword and Board tanks, please explain to me how this is going to be beneficial to you?
(for the record I also advocate strongly for a rogue Daggar QD reward, because unlike some myopic players I believe that EVERYONE should be included)

The reason sword an board tanks shouldn't get this sword is simple.
If you got it no-one would feel left out and post about it, so noone would be able to smugly boost their e-peen by pointlessly posting 'QQ-moar' or similar then said e-peen will shrivel up and die.
Where would we get our next generation of assholes?
