Breakfast Topic: Did you meet your Pilgrims Bounty goals?

For my alts, I was happy just leveling my cooking on the cheap... and getting a level here and there. Pilgrim's Bounty was a great opportunity for easily working on what I consider a necessary secondary profession.
This first instance of Blizzard's version of the U.S.'s Thanksgiving Day holiday didn't have any bosses with fun loot, and wasn't included as part of the meta, but it was casual fun without much time expended. And I am very fond of my suicidal turkey, though disappointed he didn't try to hook up with the Lonely Turkey.
Were you able to do all you wanted to in this holiday? Did you enjoy it or is there something you wish they would change for next year?

I knew I wasn't the only one who was disappointed when the Plump Turkey did not hook up with the Lonely Turkey. I thought that poor Lonely Turkey could finally find love, but alas! Not so.

The turkey pet doesn't hook up with the lonely turkey, because it's already in a relationship with the spring rabbit :)

nope, my server was down both my available play days and then I couldn't play. Actually kinda pissed about it, I got all but 2 parts done with the first night soon as it went up just to get screwed out of any more attempting by the outages.

Since the shooters aren't linked to the duration of the event, but rather have an individual duration of 7 days, you can complete that achievement afterwards. A very good hint is to go to the gnomes'/dwarves' starting area (be sure to take http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=2842 from Orgrimmar to enable a port from Booty Bay to Gnomeregan) and then ask a friend to create a new rogue of the missing race, this works even on PvP servers now, and they can delete the rogue immediately after.
Well, be sure to ask a friend without Alt-itis :P you can only have 10 characters on one server.

I found my Gnome Rogue on the last day, I wasn't even going to bother with the Pilgrim's Peril if I couldn't, but then I got it, about 30 minutes later I got all the Alliance city table raiding done. I even sat at the Exodar table for like 15 minutes eating with a bunch of low level allies. Was kindda silly. Bit shocked considering it's a PvP realm, everyone's so kill happy usually.

Owing to the fact that my battlegroup was down for two full days (and the holiday time I spent on the road) I was unable to get all of my achievements. It's rather frustrating for those of the Emberstorm and Whirlwind battlegroups, but hey. What can ya do.

same here: server down + traveling for the holiday + failing at turkinator = no title or pet for me. on the plus side, i did the boss kill achievement yesterday, so as long as you have the clothes you can apparently do that any time. also, i finally got my "chef" title, so i'm happy overall.

You can still get the Ikiss achievement so long as you have the clothes? Awesome.
I spent an hour slowly working my way through that place solo just to get that achievement....and then realized right after I killed Ikiss that I'd idiotically forgotten to put the pilgrim outfit on, and just didn't have the time nor heart to try it again before the holiday ended.

I thought it was a little blah. Nothing too exciting... if the rep bonus had been more significant I think I would have beem more into it. Not bad, not good, just in the middle for me. I do always appreciate a free pet though.

I got my title the first day the event was up, I did the dailies before and after the reset. So after that, i took the time to level my Mage alt's cooking from 1 to about 310 when i ran out of raw turkey :D
All in all, was a fun holiday, would probably do again.

Same here. The only time I spent doing anything related to the event was to level my characters' cooking skills. I got two characters from 1-350 in just a few hours, and most of that time was spent waiting on hearthstone cooldowns.

How did you get both pieces of clothing needed for the Setthek boss and all 8 Turkey Shooters with only being able to do five dailies per day?

I managed to get mine, but luckily for those who didn't get it, it isn't required for the Long Strange Journey achievement.

My main goal was to level cooking to insane heights for as many new alts as I could think of making. This I managed quite well. The Pilgrim title materialized in the process. Guess I must've been pointing those feather shooters at the right kind of target somehow.

Other than getting a little closer to the Chef De Cuisine ach and accidentally grabbing Turkinator i didn't much care for it.

Getting 40 of the turkeys for the Achievement was a maddening exercise in frustration. That said, I did complete it, so I wouldn't want it reduced for others. If I had to grind it out, so can they.

I hated that achievement as well. Getting 40 turkeys was probably one of the worst experiences I have had in WoW, ever. Though, Thanksgiving and the day after it was easy to get, since the population seemed pretty low.
For my main character, I went for the pet and title. The gold from dailies was less than I could normally get, and I didn't get any rep with factions since my main is exalted already. I love new pets... and I like to complete the events... otherwise, it was kind of meh, from my mains point of view.
As for my ALTS... This event rocked.
The 10% rep bonus was nice for my alts. I'd get that, then do the daily quests, then go off and quest some more.
Being able to burn your cooking to 355 was just great. Many of my alts can now cook well. Not sure if I will do much beyond what they have, but I have started doing a few of the cooking dailies on my alts. Getting my main to that point, was a horrible task. I loved how easy it was this way!
The rep was nice for completing the dailies. The XP/Rep seemed a bit low... Especially for a globtrotting quest... but it was ok, ultimately.
I made probably 60+ gold selling cooking mats and porting people with my mage. I would jump on, and port my girlfriend around and I had a macro that announced that I would port people and sell items.
