Patch 3.3 downloader active again

The first piece of the patch, wow-partial-1.mpq, was 459 MB, and this newest piece of the patch, wow-partial-2.mpq, is 656 MB, making the total size of the patch so far 1.1 GB. That's a pretty big patch! Fitting for the wrapup of the Wrath cycle and the culmination (and fulmination) of one of the last remaining Warcraft III storylines.
We'll keep you posted as either more parts of the patch drop or as the patch goes live, but in the meantime you can brush up on what you'll have in store when the patch hits by reading our Guide to Patch 3.3 or checking out our Icecrown Citadel coverage.
Patch 3.3 is the last major patch of Wrath of the Lich King. With the new Icecrown Citadel 5-man dungeons and 10/25-man raid arriving soon, patch 3.3 will deal the final blow to Arthas. Realm maintenance, and hence patch day is always ahead in the US, just wait... we will get it eventually ;)

Actually, the total size so far is 656MB
The total size of the addition patch was added to the first file size to give the current size.

Attention everyone about to post about how it's 656MB total and not 1.1GB total: this guy above me caught it first, you do not need to make another post about it.
Incidentally, I realize the irony in that I have done what I am telling others not to do.

Actually the first MPQ partial is still the same size.
The second pre patch download gets downloaded into a second file "wow-partial-2.mpq"
The confusion's coming about because the background downloader counts both files in for it's total of how much to download.
If you check inside your WOW folder in a folder called Updates there should be a folder inside there with 2 mpq files inside it

Not sure if that is entirely true, when I started downloading it, the first 455 MB had been already installed on my computer and the rest is taking a lot longer to install

It's not 1.1GB Total. I haven't downloaded the first chunk of data and im getting a 656MB Download .. (both chunks)

As everyone has pointed it's only 656mb, hell I got the first 400mb in like ten seconds and with my current connection i'm lagging even in the exodar!

Actually the first thing it does is check the first 450 MB you've already downloaded.
That is why it appears to go really fast - its not actually downloading anything at all at first

It's 656 total, it just added on to the 459, adding about 200 MB, for the 656 TOTAL.

The Patch 3.3 downloader seems to be active again in EU as well as of 22:44.
