WoW: Cataclysm still on target for a 2010 release

Beyond Icecrown Citadel, we also saw some pretty interesting stuff in and outside the game: Blizzard's planning to offer a premium AH app for the iPhone so you can corner the linen market on the downtown bus. The Love is in the Air holiday is active and completely redesigned, with new achievements, easier existing achievements, and a new boss fight with new holiday loot. Check our Love is In The Air FAQ for information on all the new stuff. Arena season 8 is up and running as well.
Unfortunately, even with all this activity, weekly downtime is still upon us. You'll have from 5 AM to 11 AM pacific time to take a break from all this new stuff. As always, I'll suggest that that's an excellent time to read about it instead. Here's a summary of some of our articles from the past 7 days.

Have yet to see the mount drop or anything rare except for some flower head peice.

Same. In fact, I, nor anyone I've talked to, has even seen one around the server. And it's an active server. I'm thinking the drop rate is quite low, even compared to other rare drop mounts.

I swear to ****, every time I try to play this game in the morning before work, my server is down, and I end up awake for no reason, pissed off beyond belief, waiting to go to work. I want to rip my hair out.

And there was no warning of the downtime on login. I logged in at 3:30 server, and was on until 4:45, and nothing. I was surprised; I figured maybe with all the hotfixes, they weren't going to use a full maintenance window.
But no...

The gas mask is pretty cool. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but can't wait for next WG!

2 Flower headpieces, 2 pets, and the necks is all we've seen. We saw 1 pet on Monday on run 17, and doing 19 runs yesterday, we saw the other pet and the 2 rose headpieces.
I guess I'll use the server downtime to do some more shoveling...so I can be able to play as soon as realms come up...this snow thing is getting ridiculous!

(To echo other's comments, I believe the mount and pet are of near-unicorn status, as I haven't seen either drop on multiple toons over multiple days).

Quick typo I noticed. The soundfiles were released shortly after 3.3.2, not 3.2.2. :D

I've wanted this mount since MMO Champ posted it months ago. It's the PERFECT mount for a female belf goblin engineer!
