From the deepest depths of a child's mind, we have Byron's first invention - the Cookie-Getting Bird. He knows that there would probably be more gears and stuff, but those are really hard to draw...or so he says.

For whatever reason, I can't read the last 3 weeks of Byron's journal. All that pops up is the very first comic. :(

The gallery content is hosted by AOL, if you have script blockers you have to allow the AOL sites.

Tiffany, if you are using NoScripts in Firefox, you may need to allow a script. I had the same problem with the first diary comic until I allowed the scripts for aolcdn.com.
Loved the comic. Byron is a neat character to get to know.

The artist Kelly Aarons just had surgery on her wrist. I'm sure that the theme over the last 3 weeks is directly related to this.

Given that the artist had surgery on her drawing hand 2-3 weeks ago, I'd say it's impressive that she's drawing anything for upload.

The artist is still recovering from surgery on her drawing hand. How about a little compassion and enjoy what we're getting like most everyone else?

I believe Kelly had wrist surgery in January to correct some problems in her drawing hand and telling some of Byron's backstory this way is a way to take it easy while she recovers. I would assume that if she's not recovering on schedule, there will likely be a short halt to the comic or a guest artist will step in temporarily.

Aw, not "cookie-gettin' bird", but "getting"?
As a Texan, every Tauren that has dialog uses a southern-ish accent in my head. :P
Still, Byron seems so unobtrusive that I can't imagine him "farming" any birds for the feathers he'd need for his device. The thought of him chasing live plainstriders in Mulgore and trying to get feathers off their hind-end is hilarious.

The difference here is that it's a written diary. Apparently Byron knows how to spell "getting" (if little else, heh). It's like my trolls on my RP realm: when I write a letter, it is written in correctly spelled pseudo-Gullah ("I done find this"), but in /say, etc., it's phonetic ("I da find dis").

You better watch it though, the wings on that bird were nearly perfect spirals with no shakiness. You might end up learning to draw with your other hand TOO well.

Loved it, but some words were a bit hard to understand/read at first glance. Otherwise no complaints; I hope to see more 'engineering' from him! ;)
