Hunters
- Heart of the Phoenix: Cooldown reduced to 8 minutes, down from 10 minutes.
- Thunderclap: This ability now counts as a ranged attack, granting it double damage on critical strikes instead of 150% and ranged miss chance, and still cannot be dodged or parried.
- Bladestorm: Warriors can now be Disarmed while under the effects of this ability.
- Glyph of Focus: Now increases the damage done by Starfall by 10%, down from 20%.
Patch 3.3.3 brings about small but noteworthy changes to the World of Warcraft. Wonder if they've finally fixed that talent for good now, so that it actually rezzes the pet with full health as the tooltip states rather than just a sliver.
It sucks to pop phoenix, only to have the pet immediately take 1 hit and instantly die again, leaving you with nothing but a weakened heart cooldown...

If you do a HotP out of battle, you'll see that the pet resses with a minimal amount of health, then immediately gains all their HP back. HotP appears to apply to separate effects: a Resurrection, followed by a full heal. I'm not sure if that's the actual process, or if it just takes the server a second to register the correct HP after a res.
Either way, if the pet dies, the mob should turn its attention to you, the hunter. In that case, just waiting a second to trigger HotP. You shouldn't have it on auto-cast anyway, as there are times it's better to let the pet die and cast Revive Pet yourself after dealing with the mob (especially if the mob is near death anyway). That way, you don't blow the cooldown when it's not necessary.

I can't imagine arms warrior will be happy about that change. Mine is currently retired or I'd probably be upset.

I felt a great disturbance in the PTR, as if millions of Arms Warriors suddenly cried out in terror...and were suddenly Dismantled.

It only makes sense. Pretend for example you're staring a ceiling fan on high in the face. Now hold up something blunt (like you're arm, if you're stupid) and hold tight. The blades stop moving. Bladestorm should always have been able to Disarm, imo.

I can't say that I'm happy about the nerf to Bladestorm. But I will feel a whole lot better about it if there is a similar nerf to Killing Spree. A *whole* lot better.

My Warrior friend is especially miffed.
I'm on the side that Bladestorm needed some kind of fix, it's a magic immune 6 seconds of destructive AoE rape. Hamstring someone and Storm away, there usually dead.
As my mate pointed out though, being vulnerable to Disarm mainly buffs the classes who had little trouble with Warriors in the first place. It doesn't really help the classes getting steamrolled in arenas by them.
That said, this is a nice change for Shadow Priests, unless Bladestorm makes Psychic Horror useless.

That change, even as a fellow warrior, fills me with joy. Mostly because i do BGs and WG as prot, and just letting them whirl at me, then disarming them and standing there instead of trying to run will be SO much more effective.

I PvP as Prot also, but this change seems a little mean to me. I feel bad for my brothers in Arms.

nerf was needed I'm fairly certain, but giving how many classes a hard counter is a bit harsh imo

The ranged hit cap is 263, so if you're there, you're there.

Thunder Clap was formerly considered a spell which is why it did 150% damage instead of 200% damage crits and was affected by the SPELL hit caps, resists, and silences. Now it's ranged as it should be with higher crits and a lower hit cap.
