I am really glad you guys read and discussed my email today about the threat problem i am having. I got distracted by outside stimuli for a bulk of the discussion about what I need to do to work on my threat so hopefully the edit makes it on to the site here soon so I can actually listen to your whole response. I think you guys are starting to find a good groove for how you handle the show. It would be eipc though if you could talk Turpster into coming back for a guest spot someday though.

and since they ran it early so those of us with lives didn't get to hear it on the weekend.. they cleverly once again didn't bother to put the recording up for people to listen to.
Here comes the soapbox rant.
Being a longtime fan of the show, and having given the new hosts fair opportunity to show us listeners what they can do, to keep it alive after the Turpster and Shramm leaving thing,
I have to give the following critique.
I have tried really hard to be open and give you guys a chance, but honestly you have dropped the ball over and over.
While the show has gotten away from dwelling 90% of the time on nothing but raiding, the quality has dropped. Not technically sound wise, which by the way is mixed excellently and mic'd well but from other standpoints.
Broadcast schedules haven't been followed and fluctuate week to week.
The listeners in chat are no longer interactive with the show, no questions or input from the chat channel is acknowledged except the before show music.
The show used to be semi interactive, now it's like listening to "Meet the press" or the local news, and our opinions and comments on the subject at hand are totally overlooked.
If we wanted to listen to people ramble on and on without any input to the conversation we'd just read the website or your personal blogs guys.
Also 90% of the show has become a recap of everything we can read on the website. Nothing personal, no fun conversations about problems with players, a cool mount, something totally noobish the hosts did.. nothing, just banter between them about the news.. Booooring.
Might as well listen to rush limbaugh, and I'm a liberal at heart.
and repeatedly there has been no recording of the show for those who have missed it.
I hate to say it but with hangovers, sick hosts, bad mic problems, dropped calls from guests on skype, intermittent audio delays , and volume levels going up and down,
Schramm hosted and produced a much better show.
3 days at most and we got the rebroadcast posted, sometimes the same evening. Conversations were fun and laid back.
The listeners were an active part of the show.
The news was covered, but quickly so we the listeners could ask the shows guests or hosts questions we wanted answers to.
Honestly the show, regardless of broadcast quality really has gone downhill and
again... You just don't seem to get what made the show have the ratings it did.
You've jumped the shark, and landed in the deep breath's path folks.

While I think that the show has actually gotten better since Schramm and the T left (might be because I'm a tank and these guys talk a lot about tanking) I do agree that they should really upload the show sooner.
Where I live the show is broad casted at about 5am on a Sunday morning so I can never listen live, so by the time they do upload it everything they are talking about is very old news to me. And I want to know why a show recorded on a Wednesday has taken at least 5 days to upload?

Our situation with the podcast isn't ideal, but we're aware of -- and working on -- several of these complaints.
The broadcast schedule hasn't fluctuated. It's been broadcast each and every Saturday at 3:30 PM Eastern since I took over, except for two shows broadcast early due to vacations or other scheduling conflicts. This happened periodically with the show's previous incarnation too. For the vast, VAST majority of the shows, the schedule has been met. If not, we announce beforehand. As far as posting, this week's show is being posted at the normal time this week's show would be posted -- Monday, just like the past several weeks.
I'm afraid that, yes, we're less likely to provide you with cutting-edge stories of how someone ninja'd our Frozen Orb than other podcasts. What we are likely to do is talk about what's on our site, because this *is* the WoW.com podcast, and answer emails. Community-based portions of the shows -- reader emails especially -- take up the majority of the show's running time already, and that's not necessarily a pattern we want to break. It's good for the show and good for the community.
But! In terms of audience participation, you're right. I feel like it's been lacking too. It's been particularly difficult for me to do the show on my connection. Living in the boonies is hard, and even with an upgrade from dialup to low-level mobile broadband, my latency is still pretty bad, and running the chat channel affects the latency during the show. It's not an ideal situation and I'm working on it, but I can't promise changes soon. Some things -- like where you live -- are more difficult to fix than others. :)
I'm sorry if you're frustrated with the show, or you've lost interest. All I can say is that we're cognizant of what people perceive to be problems with it, and we're fixing what's immediately fixable and relevant. Other stuff might take a little while.

Well, I've been very critical of the new hosting of the show since Shramm left, but the last few weeks have been quite good. Matt McCurley and Ann Stickney are informative and entertaining guests. I enjoyed the weapon skill rant last week. I remember standing on the barrel shooting at Dr Boom trying to level up crossbows so that reference in the show made me giggle. The technical issues seem to have alleviated somewhat so that is good to hear and see. To be fair, Mike Shramm had an issue with his mic volume level being too low for a lot of shows, until he caved in and bought a new one, so his shows werent perfect technically either.
If I had a gripe it would be that you guys are still inconsistent with putting up the live recordings on U Stream. The last one was on 27/2. Apart from that, the show seems in good shape.

idd dude, I have really stuck with it hoping it would get better and unfortunatly it has just gone from bad to worse.
Everyone has different tastes and like different types of people so I cant say who is the more enjoyable hosts for all, but I can say the quality of service has went to the dogs.
Very poor in production quality and delivery is amature at best.
How many shows does it take to realise not to breath on the mic ????
Gave it time to bed, it never has, in now its time to Unsubscribe for me :(

Wow either you give Schramm credit for how much better Wowradio produced the show or just are talking out of your tailpipe brother. When they first went to the skype call model the show was horrible Schramm failed over and over with producing it on his own for months after wowinsider left wowraido I cannot possibly be the only one that remembers that. Duncor produced a show better than what we see today but Schramm on his own was not any better than Sacco.
I happen to like the new direction the show is going as I feel the hosts actually have some real knowledge about the game and don't think they need to talk about gimmicks they did when they hit level 70 or what I was doing on my Night Elf Hunter this week. These guys actually raid, know a few different classes/roles and still manage to cover the important news of the week. Does Rossi lack the personality that Turpster had? Well sure he does but Turpster is one of those one in a million types of guys that is just a kick in the tail and thats hard to replace but Rossi knows a hundred fold what Turpster did about playing a tank be it a warrior or not.. So if you don't like the show then please be my guest to not listen anymore but keep your flaming and unhelpful rant off the site here...

I couldn't help but notice that its, um, Tuesday now with no posted show. I mean, yeah it was daylight saving time this week end but I don't think we lost a whole day! JK, but srsly, podcast post?

Every complaint listed here is valid. It is not the same show it was with Schramm and Turpster. I've given up waiting for it to come around. I am not able to listen live but really looked forward to listening to the recording on Monday or Tuesday. Again, its Thursday with nothing posted but an excuse, which is more than normal, I'll give them that. it doesn't seem they really make it a priority to get the rebroadcast up.
The silver lining is, if you miss Schramm and Turpster you can find them at their new podcast:

It is not totally a WoW podcast but there is a heavy dose of it included. All the fun and great guests you remember from the old WoW Insider show. If I see the wow.com podcast is actually posted, I will probably still listen, but this has taken their spot in my listening schedule.

Thanks for letting me in on the new Turp/Schramm podcast. It has been too long since I heard those guys but their new podcast seems to be a bunch of them running their mouths about nothing. At least when they were doing the wowinsider show they had some focus and direction..those two get on a tear and you can't get them back on topic...
Even though this week's show has failed to show up on the site before the next week's show I will stay listening to the show that Rossi and Sacco do..
