Welcome back to The Queue, WoW.com's daily Q&A column in which the WoW.com team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Honestly, Blizzard. Honestly.

Threesixteen asked:

"In Org the other day I saw a player who had a strange buff (can't recall exactly what it was called), and the animation was him standing on a pedestal and saluting. It was really cool. It didn't come from any gear he had on (I inspected him) ... Do you know what this buff is and where it comes from?"

This is the Instant Statue Pedestal item, which you get from the Statue Generator card in the WoW TCG's Wrathgate expansion. Incidentally, we're giving a bunch of them away.

abhorsen_qumzi asked:

"Just a question regarding the beta since nobody (testers and Blizzard) has been able to give a proper answer. What's the status of Quel'Thalas and the Azuremyst Isles in Cataclysm? Can we fly in those zones or not? If yes, would we be able to fly over areas like Sunwell Plateau and Magister's Terrace?"

Currently (in beta) these areas are unchanged and you can't fly in them. We don't know whether or not Blizzard is planning on changing this. Bear in mind that Quel'Thalas and Azuremyst/Bloodmyst are on the Outland map set (yes, I know they're technically in Azeroth, but they're not there in technical terms), so this may present a challenge.

Clayton asked:

"Is it true there will be no sanctuary city in Cataclysm, like Shattrath in BC and Dalaran in Wrath?"

Correct. There is no sanctuary city in Cataclysm.

CJ Katz asked:

"Are the new high level factions in Cataclysm going to work the same way as the current ones? IE: Equip tabards and/or quest in order to get gear/mounts/recipes?"

We don't know yet, but it was a successful system in Wrath, so we can hope.

vanillabean asked:

"I was wrongfully banned from the Blizzard forums. I have spent a year trying to appeal it to no avail. Will I ever be considered for a beta, or will someone's overactive banhammer finger ruin my chances forever?"

Forum bans and game bans are entirely separate and unrelated. You can still get into beta after being banned from the vanilla forums.
