While not everything about the tournament is known at this time, we do know that each realm will construct a coliseum like structure which will house further quests and activities for players to engage in. The construction of the coliseum will take a long time, and is not expected to be completed by the time patch 3.2 comes out.
There are several achievements associated with the argent tournament, and it appears at this time that you’ll be able to earn reputation with the various capital cities associated with your faction.
