We're going to start this one on the computer. You'll need a graphics editing program, such as Photoshop. When using an image, be sure it's cut out of the background. This can be easily done if you're using a program such as WoW Model Viewer. Setting a thick stroke around your image will make it easier to cut out. Be sure to follow the guidelines on your shrinkable plastic instructions, which should include creating a white overlay with 50% opacity. Your image should be about double the size you'd like it to actually be, since it will shrink.
