Breakfast Topic: Fear is the mind-killer {WoW}
Mar 16th 2010 9:44AM Honestly, I don't corner tank it if I know the group and I know they'll listen to me.
But I can't make a PuG do anything. There will always be that one person who runs over there, usually after starting it up, dies, and then we have to four man the waves. And since I can't get people to CC the damn ranged....

Nazgul's comment hits it on the head. Apolyon was the end game DPS weapon, Vold is barely even half way through this expansion. Compare a TD to Heroic Glorenzelg and you see the bigger picture.
For comparison, here's the Lionheart Blade (crafted epic, rough equivalent to TD) and Apolyon side by side - http://www.wowhead.com/?compare=28428;34247
Now here's TD and Heroic Glorenzelg - http://www.wowhead.com/?compare=41257;50730
Apolyon has nearly 40 DPS more than the Lionheart. Glorenzelg has 157.7 more. And that just counts raw DPS, not stat differences.

Mar 13th 2010 1:10AM "Not and maintain the proper class balance, you can't."
You're not following my intent. My intent is not that prot warrior TANKS should be doing this, but that there should be a viable sword and board DPS style (Think 300) where you are not a tank, but a DPS juggernaut using raw force and sword and board moves to do damage, not hold aggro. You're protection, but DPS. Like how you can have a frost DK who is not a tank.
Phat Loot Phriday: Glorenzelg, High-Blade of the Silver Hand {WoW}
Mar 12th 2010 10:12PM That's the heroic version.

Mar 12th 2010 10:11PM Arms also has Shadow's Edge/Shadowmourne. If you can get it, anyway.
Drama Mamas: Wake-up call to guild officers {WoW}
Mar 12th 2010 12:16PM Blood Queen is a very healing intensive fight with quite a few things DPS can do to reduce the incoming damage they take. Is the raid responding to shadows fast? Are people linked moving to clear it properly? Are bites being handled appropriately?
Blaming the healer without any real examples (as Deadly Off Topic said above, but I didn't reply to him because I didn't want him thinking my criticism was aimed at him) doesn't make me think it's the healers who are bad. Most of the time (in my experience) it's that one player who tunnel visions on his or her job and forgets to move when needed who causes difficulty. Did you tomb half the raid on Sindragosa? Did you stand in the Defile? Thats not the healer, that's the whole raid.
Know Your Lore: The Green Dragonflight Page 2 {WoW}
Mar 10th 2010 4:54PM Uhm, I linked to two reviews of the novel. I'm not going to put major lore spoilers in this post for a book that hasn't been out very long.

Mar 10th 2010 3:57PM Or I was making a mild joke at the tendency of the night elves to blow up the biggest source of magic they can find in the presence of the Burning Legion, like, say, a Well of Eternity and then a World Tree grown in the next Well of Eternity?
Tuesday Morning Post: Beginning of the end edition {WoW}
Mar 9th 2010 9:14AM Shamanhealer,
He could literally have plagarised EVERYTHING HE EVER WROTE OR SAID and he'd still, in the end, have come out ahead on the karmic scale. He stood in front of millions and spoke truth at the most pivotal moment for race relations in American History.
He could have had nightly affairs with different women and he'd still have come out ahead for being the man who made the "I have a dream" speech.
If you do not understand that being human, making mistakes, and yet still managing to do the right thing when it counts is in fact what makes one 'one of the good guys' then you need to stop thinking so rigidly. Nothing King did is so horrible that it can possibly eclipse the great good he worked on our world and America would be the poorer had he not been there.
Recent Nvidia drivers causing catastrophic failures {WoW}
Mar 5th 2010 8:03PM Your criticism wasn't overly blunt. It was merely stupid. The information exists in the post, there's no reason to repeatedly state over and over what drivers are at fault and where to find the new ones. If you can't be bothered to read, I can't help you.
The fact that you continue to respond defensively after it was pointed out to you that the information you sought was in the post just makes it better for me, in fact. And by the by, copy pasting has been part of journalism (which this site isn't) since Benjamin Franklin. Look it up.
