The Care and Feeding of Warriors: I cannot see the future Page 2 {WoW}
Mar 15th 2010 2:52AM i really have to agree about execute... my 80 warrior mostly runs fury, and i wont even bother with execute if i can bloodthirst or whirlwind, because those abilities do as much or more damage... whereas when i play on my hunter and kill shot pops up, its critting for 15-17k, which is CRAZY, especially considering i'm not that geared... kill shot is just a blatant rip off of execute, why the heck is it so much more powerful? imo execute either needs a straight damage buff, or the ability to dump a full rage bar into it, so it actually seems like youre executing someone again.
Shifting Perspectives: Are DoTs worth it? Part 2 {WoW}
Feb 27th 2010 9:43PM Tyler, youre my new hero around here... not only did you write a well thought out, well tested, and interesting article, but youre obviously a brainy guy and make no apologies for it. OF COURSE you took dots not critting into account. And further down, where that guys is whinging about maths... You tell him to suck it up, and i love it. WoW is a game where the people who perform the best are the people who have the smarts to do it, or at least the smarts to listen to the people telling them how to do it. You dont apologise for being intelligent, and using intelligent means to maximise the effectiveness of your characters, and i love it. Keep up the great work. I'll keep coming back for more.
Patch 3.3.3 PTR: Random Dungeon Finder changes {WoW}
Feb 20th 2010 11:22AM no trid, i know how you feel... you get so used to the tank being the leader of the party, and therefore being on the top... and then when it isnt that way, it feels all wrong, and you keep accidentally going to the top char and healing them when you should be healing the actual tank
Shifting Perspectives: Cat 101, part 3 {WoW}
Feb 13th 2010 7:37AM hey, bears have at least 5 buttons to push... ff, mangle, swipe, maul and lacerate... and frankly, i'm alright with that. when i'm tanking, i LIKE being able to keep things simple. I went from tanking on a druid (my first max level tank class), to tanking on a warrior, and while i kind of like that whack-a-mole feeling when i'm dpsing, i just find it way to annoying when i'm tanking!
also, complaining about having to have a second set of gear in order to tank and dps is a bit ridiculous... every other class has to have a second set of gear AND a second spec to tank. Right now on my druid i'm carrying around three sets of gear (one on and two in my bags), and i can queue as tank, heals and dps (not that i get to do anything but tank if i do), and that is AWESOME. Nobody else gets that flexibility, and thats what makes druids the only real class ;)
Scattered Shots: Can Beast Mastery raid? {WoW}
Feb 13th 2010 2:16AM and lets not forget that arcane mages have the same buff now as well...
Toravon: Strategy for the latest Wintergrasp boss {WoW}
Feb 12th 2010 9:09PM i just want to say, i dont much care for gearscore either, but as i dont really raid, its not an issue... having said that, my most recent 80 is currently sitting on just over 4800gs without ever doing a raid more involved than hitting naxx for the weekly raid quest, and thats with two ilvl 200 trinkets, one epic one rare... if i can grab some trinkets, and finish off my tier 9, i will clear 5k gs without raiding. tell me why gs is a good measure of skill and usefulness again?
The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Fury 101, Page 2 {WoW}
Feb 10th 2010 5:52AM well, personally, i had a MUCH easier time levelling arms, and was producing much higher dps as arms... I tried both several times, a couple before TG, and a couple after, with heirloom chest, shoulders and axe from level one. I also found myself enjoying playing arms more; the increased level of interactivity thanks to overpower helped to break up the tedium of levelling...
Know Your Lore: Malfurion Stormrage, Page 2 {WoW}
Feb 9th 2010 8:31AM yeah, but as opposed to the terrible, terrible books, he is often referred to as shan'do in the games, because after 10000 years of being the #1 druid and de facto leader of his race, he's got a bit of experience under his belt
