WoW zones in real life {WoW}

How to decide who's getting Val'anyr {WoW}

Apr 12th 2009 8:03PM @the_Crawler
I don't know my measure words to well, so I just used the generic 个.

@Karilyn
I didn't use an online translator. 因为我学中文学了两年了,所以我的中文不好的. I haven't gotten to legendary WoW items in my Chinese class yet, and thus just guessed what to use.

How to decide who's getting Val'anyr {WoW}

Apr 12th 2009 6:26PM I agree with you about the disc priest part. Shields don't have much effective healing and thus are lowering the usefulness of the proc.

The argument that is being made is that the proc is most useful for tank healers, as they are most likely to consume the effects of the shield during its 15 second duration. This is why the OP is suggesting disc priests should use it as they are tank healers. Of course this makes significantly more sense for a paladin than a disc priest.

How to decide who's getting Val'anyr {WoW}

Apr 12th 2009 6:22PM I would have them pay the DKP upfront. Otherwise they can get more gear than what would be fair. Because they are maintaining their same DKP levels they win the same amount of loot as everyone else AND the mace.

Why we should expect an expansion announcement at Blizzcon {WoW}

Apr 10th 2009 3:18PM @Naix

So basically you are saying DKs are SO balanced that they are significantly out performing every other class? Are you serious? Do you understand what the word balanced means?

balance - equality of distribution

So basically you are saying that Death Knights have such an large proportion of the distribution of power that they are the most equal.

DKs are ridiculously OP. They completely dominate tanking, PVP, and are very competitive in PVE DPS. They need to be brought in line with the capabilities of other classes.

Observations from running a Naxx-25 PuG, part II {WoW}

Apr 8th 2009 4:27PM Even though I enjoy running with "nice" players. Wiping for hours on end will try anyone's patience. Even though I do have a short list of incredibly skilled jerks who I avoid grouping with, I would generally rather just get it done and move on.

The Queue: There are no Roombas in Azeroth {WoW}

Apr 7th 2009 3:53PM Considering how much Pandaren tend to butcher Chinese culture in the worst was possible by integrating a predominant Chinese symnbol with Japanese garb, of course China will be against it. As a general rule, China hates Japan (Look up the second Sino-Japanese war and the Rape of Nanjing if you don't understand why). So of course this is a no-go.

Shifting Perspectives: A 3.1 miscellany, part 2 {WoW}

Mar 31st 2009 10:01PM I enjoyed the article. The only thing I didn't quite understand is why some balance druids tended to not take eclipse. It is a fairly significant bonus to damage and you are only hurting yourself by not taking it. In fact for a geared moonkin, you only need 2/3 or 1/3 points in it to get most of the benefit.

And I have no idea what other moonkins would be putting points into as an alternative to eclipse. Are they maxing out on mana regen talents or something?

25-man gear should not be better than 10-man gear {WoW}

Mar 31st 2009 9:17PM The way blizzard has done 25 mans, I do see them as inherently more difficult.

1. It is harder to guarantee people will do the right thing when you have 25 people. Especially when doing the wrong thing kills the raid in some way. There is a reason Undying is a lot more common than Immortal.

2. 25 mans are generally built with a higher gear and skill requirement. Normally, they require higher DPS from individual players, or add additional mechanics, like MC on KT.

Rumor: The9 to lose WoW in China {WoW}

Mar 24th 2009 2:38PM Did you do the translation for that phrase with an online translator? Because the translation is somewhat awkward, for example the word "be" would be dropped and not translated to 是. And the translation for can't as 不可能 means like not able to. But, then again 普通话 is my second language.
