Breakfast Topic: When real life Cataclysms hit {WoW}
Oct 1st 2009 11:06AM My husband has been playing WoW since beta, and although it took me a bit of time after, I started approx. 2 years ago. Six months after I created my first toon, my grandfather had a massive stroke. It didn't kill him immediately, it took 6 long, grueling weeks for his body to whither away and leave a shell that wasn't near the 6'2" strong farmer I had known all my life. I was crushed when he passed. When word was spread in my guild, my phone started to ring. And ring. And ring. These people I had only chatted with online called me to relay their condolences, instead of waiting for me to log on and tell me in chat. I was so completely moved that even now I get a little misty eyed.

Aug 8th 2009 11:55AM I think my lock would be wandering about in SW, wearing a t-shirt that said 'I summoned my whole raid and all I got was this lousy t-shirt'. She would occasionally mutter something along the lines of 'When I summon rogues I feel dirty' or 'I don't hear a thank you!'

May 1st 2009 1:49PM All of my toons are female, I'm female, and hey, as quirky as it may seem, my daughters are female.
The achievement left me a little disappointed as I would have liked to smack some of the male toons with ears because it tickles me to see a big beefy Tauren male with bunny ears. Not to mention it was difficult to tell the difference between a male and female orc completely geared!
Yes, it's a reference to Playboy. Sexist? Sure, and maybe it was meant to be. But to make this an issue is ridiculous. Really? This is ALL you have to do with your time than to make issue with some pixels?
Frankly I like how my female toons look, bouncy boobs and all. However, I'd like to see a male toon with a decent package. Come on Blizz, help the real women out here.

Dec 16th 2008 2:48PM I'm very paranoid about slipping a wow-ism into conversation, so I usually end up sounding like a bumbling idiot.
"I need to check the gold, uh, cash balance in the gbank, dang, bank account before we head to the fp, crap, airport. Have you seen the keys to the mou....van?"
This tends to be followed by sad looks from my kids ("Our mom needs professional help".......wonder if therapist will be a new profession........woot!)
