Updates to the iPhone mobile authenticator {WoW}
Mar 15th 2010 3:59AM why not get an authenticator to protect the investment you have put into the game (Time played, and money from subscriptions).
Would kinda suck if all your work (even if you don't like the game), that you paid a subscription fee to do mind you, was taken away from you in an instant because you browsed to the wrong page or opened the wrong email.
If you own an iPod touch/iPhone, or have a cellphone that supports the authenticator app, AND YOU DON'T have one, then you sir, are an idiot, since that extra layer of security is free.
And the core pup is cute.
Think of the core pup.

Mar 11th 2010 6:30PM If you knew anything about the history of Viruses on Apple products you would know that they are extremely rare and even if you do get them, require the user allow the virus to do something before any harm is done. That is the nature of any apple os that is based on OSX. its permission systems (based on UNIX) prevent anything from going on unless the user initiates the action
I jailbroke my Ipod to increase the functionality of an otherwise crippled piece of hardware that I spent over 400 dollars on. Apple has a reputation for crippling device features only to unlock them in a later OS update and forcing users to pay for a feature on a device that they have already paid for, like the 3.0 update unlocking Blue-tooth for 2G ipod touch's. This is a bad business practice.
and I bet you didn't know that there's even Security software available for Jail broken iPhones and iPods?
Well, there is: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b218/aceman67/IMG_0120.png http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b218/aceman67/IMG_0121.png
The majority of applications that you can get for Jail-Broken ipods are open source, and malicious programs get black listed and disappear pretty quickly.
I'm far from an idiot, and I took steps to protect myself.
So before you go and be all self righteous, do your research and make an informed opinion.

Mar 11th 2010 4:23PM I didn't like it telling me that having a Jail-broken iPod was a bad thing.
Due to the way that the iPod OS is run (Or any Apple OS for that matter), its next to impossible for any security to be compromised.
that message was most likely forced upon Blizzard by Apple.
Shifting Perspectives: Tanks and the barrier to entry {WoW}
Mar 4th 2010 3:05AM I'm a DK Blood tank (57/5/9). I'm properly geared with full T9 iLv232 set minus the chest, I wear the one that drops off of Tyrannus (Icebound Bronze Cuirass) for itemization reasons and that the 4-Piece bonus doesn't fit my tanking style. I only use Vampiric Blood when things go to hell, and when it expires, its followed by Ick's Rotting thumb, and when that expires, Vamp is off CD, and thus, don't need the reduction to its CD.
I'll tell you my first experience as a tank. This was about a week or so after the Random Dungeon Finder came out, I had gathered enough badges for my T9 tank set (After getting enough for my DPS set, which was a priority for me), Got together enough funds to get all the enchants I needed, and killing enough horde in Wintergrasp to pay for all my Gemming requirements with WG Marks of Honor, I had the god awful luck to get Heroic Halls of Reflection for my first run through as a virgin tank.
I was nervous as all hell and my heart was pounding in my chest (Video games are Serious Business, you see).
Having run this dungeon enough times before as a DPS with good success and enough failures to know that when things go wrong, they go wrong quickly and with out mercy, I immediately said "Oh Shit", then told the group that I had never tanked before, but I knew my rotation and strategies on what to do.
The Healer inspected my gear (A Resto-Tree ^_^) and said s/he'd (Don't know if it was a Guy or Girl tree...) give it a go, and the other DPS decided to give me a chance.
It took us 3 tries to get past the first two bosses using the Line of Sight strategy, and the rest was a cakewalk, and I even managed to get my "We're Not Retreating; We're Advancing in a Different Direction." achievement.
I was incredibly lucky to have an understanding, completely random group of strangers willing to risk the expensive repair bills help me through my first run through as a tank.
On a side note, stop complaining about repair bills to the tank. When your equipment is at 60% from multiple wipes, remember this: The tanks is at 30-40%. We're the ones taking all the damage, and has the largest repair bill out of all the group.
Gold Capped: Auction house addon list {WoW}
Feb 27th 2010 5:07PM Arkinventory is another good Bag addon, it allows you to customize your bags into categories based on what type of item it is, as well as custom categories (as a tank, I carry around my tank set as well as a pvp set, so those are categorized away from my Soulbound Equipment)
Patch 3.3.3 PTR: New info on Facebook {WoW}
Feb 24th 2010 4:03AM GET THAT NERF-BAT AWAY FROM MY DEATH KNIGHT!
I'm already stoked about the Icy Touch buff to our threat generation, but please, for Light's sake, don't nerf my favorite horde 'lock ganking ability!

Feb 20th 2010 2:53PM NO MORE TITANSTEEL COOLDOWN!
Patch 3.3.3 PTR: Frozo the Renowned takes your Frozen Orbs {WoW}
Feb 20th 2010 3:34AM I always wait till I'm the last one to roll on the Orb, just in case someone rolls need, so I roll need too (otherwise I greed).
But if people start needing this outright, well, I will too. As a 450 Miner/JC, I can make good use of them... especially with the removal of the CD on Titansteel.
Urgent maintenance on select realms [Updated] {WoW}
