GDC10: NCSoft speaks out on Aion 1.9 {Massively}
Mar 13th 2010 1:01PM Sad to see NCsoft is still in raving PR mode, with their hands on their ears and ranting off like there's no issue whatsoever with Aion.
It's a real shame because Aion could be a great game, NCsoft is just too stupid to make it happen.
The "Vision" trailer was a fluke, a smokescreen to make disgruntled players come back; whether or not they plan to make it happen, I doubt there will be many players left to enjoy it. They've shot themselves in the foot repeatedly, and it sounds like they aren't done doing that yet.
CCP looking for lots of new people {Massively}
Mar 13th 2010 8:53AM Having worked in Iceland for 2 years back in 2002-2004, I'd gladly give it a shot; such a nice, cozy place. Don't let the eternal darkness of winter turn you off, these people know how to deal with it (on the plus side, the midnight sun in summer is nothing short of awesome).
Possibly as many as 50,000 iPads pre-ordered in first two hours {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Mar 13th 2010 8:41AM I believe we have entered a new age in reality distortion field technology.
Street Fighter IV available on iPhone tonight {Joystiq}
Mar 9th 2010 10:36PM I wonder if the only thing you'll be kicking is your iPhone got crash-overheating every 2 minutes.
Mac games on sale at Direct2Drive until March 11 {Joystiq}
Mar 5th 2010 7:08AM Not a flame, I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality titles offered for Macs (not a truckload, but still); I guess I've spent a little too much time in my Windows ivory tower.
I'm not Steve Jobs or Phil Schiller btw.
Activision: Farmers Could Kill WoW? {Massively}
Mar 4th 2010 2:18PM I don't understand how these so-called analysts cannot grasp one important thing: WoW lost over half its user base overnight when players in China couldn't play anymore. This is a serious blow to the all-mighty cashcow that WoW has been so far for Blizzard and Activision.
Aion 1.9 patch details teased while videos of 2.0 dance in our heads {Massively}
Mar 3rd 2010 10:03PM The crashing issue in overcrowded areas/fights was fixed a little while ago (sometime in early November), silently so even since NCsoft never officially acknowledged the problem and stealth-fixed it.
Aion 1.9 patch details teased while videos of 2.0 dance in our heads {Massively}
Mar 3rd 2010 4:02PM Except Aion isn't half as bad as you make it sound, it's in dire need of tweaks and NCsoft really isn't moving very fast, but the core of the game is good, PvP is fast-paced and the crafting system is one of the better ones I've seen in recent years. There is hope.
Activision report lists World of Warcraft as a 'risk factor' {Joystiq}
Mar 2nd 2010 10:52PM Risk factor as in WoW lost over half it's user base overnight when players in China couldn't play it anymore? I believe it.
The Daily Grind: What's your favorite mount? {Massively}
Mar 1st 2010 9:23AM Hahaha, was just just thinking the same.
Netherwing drakes make pretty nice mounts, but I absolutely despise the WotLK protodrakes, they're ugly as sin.
