Maintenance day loot from WoW.com

Maintenance days are so boring, so let's try and spice it up. Today WoW.com is giving away six loot cards, each and every one of them come courtesy of WoWTCGLoot.com. Today you have a chance to get your hands on one of three Slashdance codes, or one of three Tiny (yes, these change into raptors for the Horde) codes.

All you need to do is leave a comment on this post. Make sure you comment using an email address you check frequently, as that's how we'll be contacting our winners. You may only enter once or you will be disqualified. The deadline is tonight (March 16th) at 11:59 PM. Comments will be disabled at that time, and winners will be chosen randomly (and so will the prizes).

Good luck!

Plushie Photo Contest: Show us your plushies

So you hopped into the Blizzard Store and ordered yourself a plushie or two. Or maybe you picked up one from BlizzCon. Regardless, there you are, with at least one official Blizzard stuffed toy. Whether you collect them for yourself or have a child for whom you say that you bought them, you have one or more in your home... but now what? Does he sit on your desk? Does he sit on your lap? Is he used to recreate famous in-game battles? And the most important question of all: have you taken pictures of it?

We here at WoW.com want to see your best plushie photos. There will be two categories: Plushies in The Wild and Plushies in Captivity. We will narrow down the best of both categories and offer them up to the readers for voting. The top three of each category will receive loot codes, provided by WoWTCGLoot.com.

Details are after the break.

Sleeper Cartel wins November's Guild of the Month

We're finally good and ready to announce the winner of last month's Guild of the Month contest, and as you probably saw in the headline above, Sleeper Cartel of the Perenolde server is walking away with the prize: A $100 gift code from SwagDog. This is a guild that almost needs no introduction, considering they've made previous appearances here on WoW.com. I'll let Sleeper Cartel do the talking behind the cut below.

Before that, I want to remind everyone that December's Guild of the Month contest is still ongoing, and you still have time to enter. Make sure you check out the original posting, as well as the official rules. If you've entered previously and weren't chosen, don't get discouraged. Competition is fierce and ever changing.

Take it away, Sleeper Cartel!

Still time to win the Twelve Days of Grunty contest

With so many sites and stores promoting commercialism and spending, it's always refreshing to see fansites run contests that are in the true spirit of the season -- altruism (and ad traffic, of course). In this case, WoW-Achievements.com is getting into the Winter Veil spirit with their Twelve Days of Grunty contest!

From December 13th to December 25th, the site is presenting one new WoW trivia question each day. A winner is chosen randomly from those who answer correctly, and each day a Grunty the Murloc Marine pet is awarded. No registration is necessary, and the questions are easily answerable with a quick Google search. If you didn't get to go to BlizzCon '09, or if you didn't order the livestream from DirecTV, this might be your only shot at getting Grunty in your digital stocking, save asking Santa. And I don't think Santa does the whole eBay thing.

If you know of other sites running holiday contests, please let us know so we can make sure everybody gets a chance to cash in on the season of giving!

Follow @Warcraft on Twitter and win big

Well, I guess "big" is in the eye of the beholder, but for the fairly easy task of starting a Twitter account (if you don't already have one) and following @Warcraft, you could win a myriad of WoW TCG loot card codes. Ever wanted an Ethereal Plunderer, a Spectral Tiger, a Magic Rooster, or any of the other super-rare vanity items? Now would be a good time to take part in that whole social networking thing. You could even follow the official WoW.com Twitter account too if you're so inclined.

Blizzard has already selected a ton of winners, and the contest runs until December 11th, 2009, so you've still get plenty of time to win. Official rules are here.

It looks like Blizzard learned something from their last contest, since the prizes seem to be handed out immediately upon them choosing a winner. Of course, I suppose it's easier to get digital codes to people than t-shirts, but I also don't think it takes two months to mail a t-shirt. Either way, if you win this one, you get pretty much instant gratification. The best kind of gratification.

Enter December's Guild of the Month contest

Ah, lovely December! One of my favorite months out of the year. I'm one of those freakish people that love snow, so a Wisconsin December is right up my alley. We're not here to talk about the weather, though. We're here to talk about swag. $100 worth of swag from Swagdog, no less. Let me explain how this works.

If you think your guild is the best in the World of Warcraft, you might have a chance to win a $100 gift certificate from SwagDog where you can pick up custom guild apparel for you and members of your guild.

What do you need to do to enter? It's simple: You nominate your guild by sending us a short (no longer than 200 words) summary of why you think your guild is the best out there. Tell us why you think your guild is so unique! What sort of guild are you? What do you do together? What sets you apart from all of the other guilds out there? If you entered last month, no problem! Your guild can't win again if you've won previously, but if you haven't won yet in previous months, feel free to enter this month's contest.

Please send all submissions to contests@wow.com! At the end of the month, we'll pick a winner from those entries and profile them here on the site. Keep in mind, that means if you like your obscurity and don't want to be profiled, you might not want to enter.

You must be 18+ to win, and the contest is open to both US and non-Quebecois Canadian readers. Please submit your entry with an email address you check regularly, as we'll be contacting you via email if you win. All entries must be submitted by December 31st or they will be disqualified. For the full official rules, click here!

FigurePrints price reduction, armor sets available

Our friends over at FigurePrints have a few pieces of news to share this weekend: first of all, they've dropped the price in the EU from €129.95 (which was about $166) to €99.95, which lines up with the US price of $129.95. The reason given for the original higher price was exchange rates, but they now say things have settled down enough where they can line up the prices. No word on if EU people who ordered them at the higher price will be getting a refund, so I'd assume they won't.

Also, they have now implemented the Tier armor sets we were told about in our interview at BlizzCon -- instead of ordering a FigurePrint with your usual gear on it, you can instead choose to dress your character in Tier 1, 2, or 3, dungeon set 1 or 2, or the original PvP Rare or Epic armor sets. That's designed so that characters don't have to go back and collect all of those pieces -- if you'd rather remember your character in that original armor from the vanilla game, there you go.

Win even more loot from WoW.com

While the entries for our Guild of the Month contest for September flow in, we've decided to also hand out a little bit of instant gratification. Loot codes, anyone? This afternoon we have, once again, a few Slashdances to hand out, courtesy of Upper Deck. In case you've forgotten, each of them gives you a stack of 100 Party G.R.E.N.A.D.E.s which you can use to start impromptu dance parties in your capital city of choice, or if you're that guy you can use them to drive your raid nuts and prevent them from devouring that delicious Fish Feast we all love so much.

All that you need to do to win one of these is leave a comment on this post. At 11:59 pm tonight, I'll be disabling comments and picking three lucky winners at random. Please remember to use a valid email address to leave your comment, because that's how I'll be getting you your code. If I send you a mail and it bounces, you're out of luck and I'm moving on to someone else. Please only comment once. If I find you commenting multiple times to increase your chances, you will be disqualified.

If you're looking to win something a little more substantial from us, don't forget to enter the Guild of the Month contest for $100 worth of gear from Swagdog, where you can get some awesome custom guild apparel.

Win one of five TCG codes today on WoW Insider

It's that time of the week again, everyone Yes, that's right. It's time for WoW Insider to 'celebrate' maintenance Tuesday with free stuff. We're back to TCG loot codes this week, once again courtesy of the great folks over at WoWTCGLoot.com.

So what are we offering this week? We have two Sandbox Tiger codes and three Party G.R.E.N.A.D.E.S. If you want a chance to win , simply leave a comment on this post. At midnight tonight, comments will be turned off and our winners will be picked at random and given a random code. You may only enter this giveaway once or you will be disqualified. Remember, post your comment using a valid e-mail address that you check on a regular basis. That's how we'll be contacting you with your loot. Note: You will not be receiving the card, only the loot code.

If you don't win, don't get too beat up. WoW Insider will be doing these contest and giveaways as often as we're able, and today's benefactor does things like this over on their own site rather often, too.

Arthas: Rise of the Lich King giveaway

The contest we've been alluding to the last couple of weeks is finally here: This is your chance to win a copy of Arthas: Rise of the Lich King through WoW Insider, courtesy of Simon and Schuster.

If you somehow managed to miss Daniel and I talking about this book, Arthas is the latest World of Warcraft novel and its official release is April 21st. It's quite possibly the most hyped up book in Warcraft history, and as you may have read in our review, the hype is warranted. We've talked about this book enough that I don't think I need to say anything else beyond the fact that we have ten (10!) copies of this book to give away.

To enter, leave a comment on this post before Wednesday, April 15th at 6PM Eastern. Ten winners will be chosen randomly, and each will receive one copy of Arthas: Rise of the Lich King, limit one winner per household. You must be at least 18 to enter and a legal resident of the United States or non-Quebec resident of Canada. You may only enter once. Anybody found to be doing otherwise will be disqualified. Please read the official rules before entering.

Be sure to comment with an e-mail address you check often and have easy access to, because that's how we will be contacting our chosen winners. Good luck to all who participate!

UPDATE: Contest closed. We'll be randomly choosing winners and contacting them soon. Thanks to all who participated!
