Uncle ... Uncle Leo? Is that you? Oh, Leo! How did this happen? Grandma Betty warned you not to evolve into an ichthyosaur, but you always had to be unique, didn't you? And now you're just a selection of delicious meat cuts. Well, I promise you that I will avenge your death -- especially since those walrus people look like they could be pretty tasty. Is it just dry lightning, or did someone really give this gnome Force Lightning powers? Darth Vader wannabe Jay of Defias Brotherhood-EU has been training hard at the Sith Academy, including grueling practice sessions in the Tanaris desert. But it'll all be worth it when he can choke someone with his brain. Hmm. Suddenly I'm getting an urge to pick up Knights of the Old Republic again...

As we've all learned from Garfield, cats are prone to laziness. Also, they enjoy tormenting their sexless, despondent owners, although real cats will prefer to eat your iPod ear buds before any lasagnas. Our anonymous submitter has taken being lazy to a new level. She's decided that walking is too tiring, and has commissioned a more energetic cat to carry her from place to place.

While attempting to create a Loot Crazed Diver costume, Firesnake of <Bloodlust Theorycrafters> on Darkspear wound up turning himself into a Big Daddy. After spending some time in the thrall of a particularly persuasive female gnome who kept calling him "Mr. Bubbles", Firesnake managed to break free and headed to the only place he felt at home -- the aquarium in the western terrace of Sholazar Basin.

Around Azeroth: Electric boogaloo

Guys, we need to talk about our utility bills here. Now, we all like to put on a good show for the adventurers, but some of you are going too far with the special effects. Do we really need neon wires, blue smoke and greenish bubbles? And that purple, glowing sword is just an energy sink -- it's using power even when it's sitting in your scabbard. Responsibility, folks, or we're going to have to raise your rent just to cover the electric bill. (Thanks to Billy for the screenshot!)

Around Azeroth: I hate pugs

Due to the pre-expansion economic downturn, there's simply no more room at the Dalaran Home for Unwanted and/or Annoying Non-Combat Pets. So Valafar of <Deadlight> on Exodar had to find a less palatable solution for getting rid of his pug when it became overly aggressive. Sure, he could have probably found a better home if he put up a Craigslist ad or something, but hey, he's a death knight. Death knights are evil. They do evil things. It would be a waste of time if they just did charity work.

Around Azeroth: Infernal comeuppance

We get quite a few screenshots of the Onyxia fight here at Around Azeroth, such as this fiery picture from Urths of Nagrand. And like this shot, many of these e-mails contain the notation "this is from a wipe" or "taken just before we died." Are people just taking screenshots after they've died and are lying on the ground, bored, while everyone else takes a break to get another Mountain Dew? Or are these action photographers in fact the cause of the wipes? Raid leaders beware!

Vendarvan of <Lost in WoW> on Kael'Thas knows that you can't hurry love. He's decided to sit and wait for his true love, the Maiden of Winter's Breath Lake, to warm up to his advances. When you can live for thousands of years, hanging around for a couple of years waiting for a date isn't that big a deal. Tyrande Whisperwind's been doing it forever.

Looking to hook the big one? Tauren fisherman Daniel might seem to be using a five-foot-wide bobber while fishing west of Orgrimmar, but it's really just a forced perspective shot. This might come as a disappointment to his warp hunter pet, who is hiding in the boat, salivating over the prospect of eating Moby Dick for dinner.

Around Azeroth: Kiko and the lavender moon

Yes, yes, it's my second Los Lobos reference in as many days, but they're a good band and "That Train Don't Stop Here" is pretty tight. Anyway, Karli sent in this screenshot of her character using the Rituals of the New Moon to give her lupine friend some companionship. I'd be somewhat concerned that when she changes back in two minutes she'll be the other wolf's dinner, but even if it wasn't domesticated, WoW wolves of this particular fur color tend to be under level 10.

Around Azeroth: Mesdames butterfly

I'm pleased to announce that due to the acquisition of our parent company by one Mr. Andrew Ryan, Around Azeroth will now be changed to Around Rapture. But seriously, this Cult of Rapture-styled butterfly was discovered by Nomadigin of Earthen Ring after his heartless murder of two Val'kyr warriors. "It holds the dialectic between gentle nature and morbidity," he writes. I'm not really sure what that means, but it certainly sounds deep.

Deadlylupine of <Face Rollers> on Balnazzar snapped this shot of her drake rising through the mist in Terokkar Forest. "I happened to be flying in lovely Terokkar, and my Nether Drake was just so overwhelmed with light, he had to have a celebratory roar," she wrote.

Around Azeroth: Will the wolf survive

With the number of mounts, vanity pets and summonable creatures in WoW, it's surprising that we don't see more incidents like this one. Aéro of <Vendetta> on Fizzcrank is having trouble keeping her newly acquired wolf mount from devouring her phoenix pet. She's not just looking out for the safety of the bird -- those phoenixes can cause a heck of a case of heartburn if they ignite on the way through the wolf's esophagus.

Around Azeroth: Personal space

We've been getting quite a few submissions from the Sindragosa fight lately. In this submission, priest Tenbones and shaman Trof of <The Kabal> on Hellscream were trapped in close quarters during an Ice Tomb. Tensions rose between the two healers, and they ended up beating each other into insensibility with their staves while the tank spammed a "heal me" macro.
