We were just your average Americans with little or no savings to fall back on. We depend entirely on our Social Security for an income and just wanted a more suitable environment to retire… Panama is our new home now… it's wonderful to wake up each day and see this beautiful country welcoming us.

I really enjoy the articles, the first hand accounts, the tips, everything. I turn 57 in a couple months and am so interested in retiring abroad. That said, I look forward to using your magazine as a guide and exploring the globe. Looking for my perfect retirement haven!

I've really gotten used to being warm all the time. Now I'm such a wimp when I'm somewhere cold. If it goes below 70 F, I'm freezing! I think if you're going to leave the U.S. for first time, Panama is probably the easiest place to try it out. Lots of people speak English and there's good healthcare.
