• Can I use Plaid for free?

  Yes, Plaid's free Limited Production service allows you to make up to 200 API calls per product with live data. Limited Production is perfect for testing and learning more about the Plaid API.

• Is Plaid free for consumers?

  We don’t charge consumers for our services. Rather, we work with our fintech customers to securely connect your bank account to the apps you want in seconds.
  
  For developers, Plaid is free to use in our Development and Sandbox environments, allowing you to discover the product, become familiar with our APIs and endpoints, and learn how the platform works. Plaid will remain free for apps designed for personal use, as well. Pricing is only activated once you request Production access.

• How much does Plaid cost? What is the Plaid pricing model?

  Each Plaid product has its own pricing structure that is dependent on how the product works. For more details on our pricing models, see Plaid Billing. These pricing models are only applicable for the Production environment; Sandbox and Development environments are always free.
  
  Plaid uses three basic pricing models: one-time fee products, subscription fee products, and a per-request fee structure. Auth, Identity, and Income are one-time fee products, meaning you incur a charge only once for each connected account. The cost for one-time fee products is the same no matter how many API calls are made for the connected account.
  
  For subscription products, every connected account incurs a monthly subscription fee. Other products have a per-request flat fee, meaning they incur a fee for each successful API call.

• How do I get billed for products?

  Pricing models vary across products. For more complete details on pricing models, see Plaid Billing.

• What discounts are available?

  Volume discounts are provided based on your contract duration and/or the minimum monthly commitment you are willing to make. For details, contact our Sales team.

• Can I upgrade my plan later?

  Yes. At any point in time, you are allowed to upgrade to a plan that suits your needs.

• How does Plaid Pay as you go pricing work?

  Pay as you go pricing at Plaid has no spending minimum. Simply sign up for the products you're looking to use in Plaid's production dashboard, and the card provided will be charged for the connected Items (accounts).

• Does Plaid charge a fee?

  Plaid is free for consumers using a Plaid-powered app. Plaid does not charge consumers for using our services.
