Kenya Ports Authority, commonly known as KPA, is a basketball club based in Mombasa, Kenya. Owned by the Kenya Ports Authority corporation, the team has competed in the KBF Premier League since first qualifying in 2008. The team made their debut in international competitions during the 2002 FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup, losing all six games.
In 1985, the club merged with the Kenya Ports Authority team to form Bandari FC. The club had played previously in the Kenyan Premier League, but was relegated after the 1997 season. Bandari was the first runners up in the KPL 2017,2018 and won the KPL SportPesa Supercup 2018 to earn a CAF CONFEDERATION CUP Qualifications spot.
Kenya also has its own ice hockey team, the Kenya Ice Lions. The team's home ground is the Solar Ice Rink at the Panari Sky Centre in Nairobi, which is the first and largest ice rink in all of Africa. Kenya men's national field hockey team was considered one of the good teams in the world during 1960s and 1970s.
Mombasa's commercial port is called Kilindini Harbour and is run by the Kenya Ports Authority, it lies on the Indian Ocean. There are plans to build another international port in Lamu to the north east of Mombasa. There is an inland port at Kisumu which serves Lake Victoria.
