Catholic High School was founded in 1894 as St. Vincent's Academy. The school was so named in recognition of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, who helped organize and establish the school. History. Broadmoor High School was founded in 1960 and resides on a 30-acre campus centrally located in the historic Broadmoor Neighborhood of south Baton Rouge. Woodlawn's original campus was on Tiger Bend Road in Baton Rouge. The original school house and its accompanying buildings were unknowingly constructed on top of the Baton Rouge fault line and as a result the buildings were continuously moving.
