Sargodha District ( Punjabi and Urdu: ضلع سرگودھا ), is a district of Punjab, Pakistan. The capital of the district is Sargodha. It is an agricultural district with wheat, rice, sugarcane and Kinno being its main crops. The Sargodha district and region is also famous for citrus fruit including Kinnow, orange and lemon.
Sargodha is situated in Pakistani province of Punjab. It is located 187 kilometres (116 mi) northwest of Lahore, in Sargodha District. [22] It lies about 48 kilometres (30 mi) from the M-2 motorway, which connects Lahore and Islamabad. It is connected to the M-2 by several interchanges at different locations.
