The school's athletic teams were originally known as the Tabbies, after the acronym TAB. They are now called the Tigers. Blakelock is the only public high school in southwest Oakville, after the closure of Queen Elizabeth High School and the transfer of Gordon E. Perdue High School to the Catholic Board in 1990.
The Oakville Blades had their best season yet in franchise history, winning the OJHL, the Dudley-Hewitt Cup, and coming in third place going to the semi-finals at the National Jr. A Hockey Championship, the furthest they have got at the national tournament. The Blades finished with the highest wins ever, and tied for most points in club history.
Oakville has a co-educational student body of 1,684 in the 2022-23 school year, increasing by about 10% over the past five school years. Most students come from Bernard Middle School and Oakville Middle School, with a handful coming from Washington Middle School.

2021 Oakville Fall Classic. The 2021 Oakville Fall Classic was held from August 27 to 29 at the Oakville Curling Club in Oakville, Ontario. [1] [2] It was the fourth men's event and third women's event of the 2021–22 curling season. [3] The total purse for the event was $6,000 on the men's side and $3,800 on the women's sides.
