The Barns at Nappanee, Home of Amish Acres, formerly known solely as Amish Acres, is a tourist attraction in Nappanee, Indiana, created from an eighty-acre (thirty-two-hectare) Old Order Amish farm. The farm was purchased in October 1968 at auction from the Manasses Kuhns’ estate.
The Farm is part of Amish Acres, which includes the old farmstead and additional structures brought in to show Amish life. [2] The Kuhns farm includes the farmhouse, a bank barn , a windmill , a "grossdaadi haus," (grandfather house), an outhouse, a food drying house, a bake oven, a smokehouse , a root cellar , a hoghouse , and a garden plot.
