William Ruto made a state visit to Guinea-Bissau where he was received by his counterpart President Umaro Sissoco Embaló. This marked the first state visit by the Kenyan head of state to the country. Both leaders held bilateral talks and Ruto was also awarded the highest medal in Guinea-Bissau the Amílcar Cabral Medal.
