Pamlico. The Pamlico people lived on the Pamlico River in North Carolina. Named after them were Pamlico Sound, the largest sound in North Carolina, and Pamlico County.They are one of the most southerly Algonquian tribes on the Atlantic seaboard and the most southerly ones for which scholars collected a vocabulary.
Alliance is a town in Pamlico County, North Carolina, United States. Its name is derived from the Farmers Alliance Movement from around 1874, two years after Pamlico was founded. Alliance was incorporated in 1965. The majority of land in Alliance is farmland.
Lenoir High School is a historic high school complex and national historic district located at Lenoir, Caldwell County, North Carolina. It was designed by the architectural firm Benton & Benton and built in 1922. It is a two-story, Classical Revival-style brick school with cast stone detailing. An addition was made in 1962.
Atkins High School located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina, was dedicated on April 2, 1931, as a facility for African American students.
